Appears to the lowest price available, wasn't going to bother posting but with John Lewis price match for the extended warranty I thought it may be of interest to others.

I had the 6120 on back order from Amazon (previous deal) but personally happy to pay a bit more for the better spec and more importantly the 5 year warranty.

Heat added - I'm in the same boat as you deciding whether to buy the samsung 50 inch 6120 @ £400 OR go for the deal you just posted.

What specs are better on the 6400 that made you go for it?
Samsung 6120 was £339 on 30/12. Might do same deal again soon
Lots of people complaing about light bleed in 49"MU6400...

Seen lots of reports if that, having to send them back a few times to get a decent one.

6400 has freesat, a must for me.
Does it have freeview play?
How does it compare to LG 49SJ810V
I have the 6400 and have no issues with light bleed after a few months and think the picture is great!
side by side at JL I thought this model looked superior to the 6120 in terms of colour and blacks, but the light bleed affecting the 49 inch 6400 is well discussed on avforums so went for the 6120 in the end. still might change my mind and go for the 40 inch 6400 th 😓

I'm at JL just now and think the same
But so many reports of the light bleed seems to be pot luck if you get a good one or not.
I've just bought this - if there is light bleed then I'll send it back

grwat price for a great TV
Does this have any better specs than the 40" model (other than 9" larger screen) currently selling for around £120 less?
Will JL match this given Reliant direct are an online only supplier? - I bought this from JL a week ago so would love to get some cash back above the price match i got

Yes, I've already price matched it and ordered from JL.

Reliant do appear to have two showrooms.

You can only try
Guys been looking at this set as well as SONY KD49 XE 8series. any thoughts? I have a budget of £700 and looking for 49/50 inch.set
I've submitted a ticket to price match for you guys on John Lewis site!

I also checked out Reliant Direct and they seem to have showrooms where you can try out and buy the stuff! So I imagine JL will come back to me and I'll be a happy bunny
John Lewis will price match no problem, I got mine approved earlier on within the hour.

I am now leaning towards purchasing this over the Samsung UE50MU6120 mainly because of the better specs!

Also, the 5 year warranty will come in handy if the light bleed every becomes a issue.

Thanks for posting again!

Same here. Also been looking at the KD49 XE 8 series, the Samsung tv in this post, and the LG SJ810. Not sure which to go for.

I got mine approved to and ordered!

BTW UE49MU6400 has better specs than the UE50MU6120, apart from the 1" difference it has a much higher colour depth, satellite and many more things, have a closer look and see for yourself!
How do you get JL to approve it?

How do you get JL to approve it?

You need to submit a price match request to them

You can do it online or on their mobile app.

I did it on the mobile app, simple and easy.
gone up to £478 now

Yep

While I was getting JL to price match £449 it went up to £478! I still placed the order for £478. Hopefully I'll enjoy the TV
Ah that's a shame! Luckily I got a price match at £449.

No I'm deliberating between this TV and the LG49UJ630V

Both seem similar in specs but the LG is around £20-30 cheaper!

Any advice welcome

Definetly this over the LG, which uses a markedly inferior RGBW panel.
