Hughes have this TV on sale for: £489 - £25 off = £464, which is a great price. It's found here

hughes.co.uk/pro…400

But it's better to get it from JL & the 5 year warranty.

So just do a JL price match to get it at this price. I have done today.

Link to JL price match:

johnlewis.com/nev…old

must do before 23/01/2018 as that's when Hughes £25 off ends.

Shocking to compare the first two brands in some sort of comparison, Hisense tho by the seems of it are a genuine consideration, but do you not see the value in better products at all? a tv is a tv is what your alluduing to by the seems of it, whihc is shockingly naive.

JL will only price match with companies that have a high street presence so Hughes is still the best option.
Any better than Sony?
Trust me. Good deal!
Which would be the better option, this or ao.com/pro…spx with JL price match at 389?

Shows £419 on AO for me and not £389. Is there a code or something?

Got JL to match the 6120 @ £404, but that was the cheapest I could find at tje time. Being delivered Wednesday.

Not sure how it compares to the 6400 though.

Anyone else know?

6400 has Freesat and it has a 10 bit panel (8 bit + frc) compared to just an 8 bit panel for the 6120.

I'm no tv expert but researching taught me that this means the 6400 can produce 64x more colours. (6120 can show 16mil colours whereas the 6400 can show around 1 billion)

I have the 40MU6400 and it uses a VA panel so there is no light bleed and the blacks are very good. The larger models use IPS type panels so the viewing angle is good but the blacks are grey and suffers from screen uniformity problems, DSE and light bleed. The Ps4 pro looks really good and these tvs have a wider colour gamut to give hdr an extra colour pop.

Got the same tv from John Lewis just over a week ago for £324 + 5 year warranty when they agreed to price match the coop eBay deal.
I have this TV, purchased in the summer for £599 from Curry's. Absolutey fantastic picture both for TV/streaming services and my XB1 X. By all means this isn't a Q/OLED but for what you pay you're getting a lot of TV for the money.

By value in better products you mean overpriced, dodgy and update-forcing brand names?

Don’t buy this tv light bleed
I got the 40" version of this TV for the office. It has a very nice picture, but has a very annoying CE/Global dimming feature, which can only be disabled after labelling an input as "PC mode". This mode will have fewer accessible picture settings though & to many people will look "washed out"

Still a good TV. Don't know about the 49" though.

Like others have already stated, the 49" MU6400s suffer from bad back light bleeding.
40" is the best one because it has a different panel
49" is the worse one because of major light bleeding and the blacks are dark grey
55"+ are ok but again your taking chance with the light bleed.
Had an issue with a few dead pixels on a sammy i purchased 3 years ago from JL (5 year guarantee), they dont honour - so before you pay premiums check the exclusions...see below )italics for main issues (which for me was the big one - never mentioned it in store when i brought it mind)

guarantee exclusion as stated in the guarantee section of the terms and condition of sale:

Accidental damage, for example if your TV has been dropped. You may find that this type of damage is covered by your household contents insurance policy, or you can buy Added Care for your TV, which does cover accidental damage
image ghosting or screen burn. These can appear on a screen that's left operating for a prolonged period with either a still image or a channel constantly displaying a logo
Pixel spots. These are tiny dark or bright spots that may become visible on a screen

Digital television picture affected by any of the following: a misaligned or unsuitable aerial, climatic conditions, geographic location, poor quality or low strength broadcast signal
Consumables such as batteries, storage media, rear projection television bulbs, fuses, light bulbs, etc.
If the product has been used commercially or for business purposes
Data loss
Cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, corrosion or colour, where the function of the product is unaffected
Any loss suffered as a result of not being able to use the product, or any loss over and above the purchase price of the original item
Servicing, inspecting or cleaning of the product, and failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions and/or installation guidelines
Deliberate damage or neglect of the insured product
Services for goods bought and used outside of the UK, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands

I have both the 40 and 49 versions of this t.v., must've got lucky as no noticeable bleed on either, very pleased with the screen uniformity for edge lit panels
it was £349 on Game.co.uk (1 year warranty) until yesterday
