Think it means you are not getting a true 10 bit TV. FRC technology helps it reach 10 but ideally you want a 10 bit TV without FRC.

Can you recommend a similarly priced TV at this size with a 10bit panel?

It also says the 55" version is the same but they are wrong as the 55" is 10 bit

That's disappointing, I was told all 7 series and above were 10bit. Shame
I've got the older version. It's so painfully slow and crashy. John Lewis engineers coming again today. 4th time
great price, shame that RS and JL won't mach it

not only that but 55" is 120Hz and 49" is only 60Hz. That's why I've decided to hunt for 55" after nearly buying 49".
Great price - I paid £799 for this model a few months ago (albeit with an UHD Player) but still a cracking price for a very good TV. I'm really happy with mine, build quality, picture, features and functionality are very good for this price point.

Which said it was equal to the range above and awarded it a best buy.
superb price, paid £849 last year from john lewis. No complaints, happy with performance with xbox and ps4

I bought 55" 2 weeks ago. A lovely set! Was £739. Now back upto £769 at reliant direct.

Dammit, just had mine delivered yesterday and didn't know about that. I got the soundbar in the £200 cashback promotion though.
