Incredible price for this TV. When I first purchased my PS4 Pro, I was looking for a TV that would give me HDR 10, and was generally good for gaming. This set kept coming up on lists as one of the best TVs for 4K gaming with HDR, and it's great to see it has dropped in price!

Use code 'CPT50' at checkout to get advertised price.

I think 8 Bit + FRC for the 49" panel. 55" is 10 Bit?

Yep. Also 50hz on the 49" and 100hz on the 55".

Edit: Tell a lie, both sets are 8bit + FRC.

It makes very difference, there is much more influential hardware for HDR performance like the colour volume and local dimming system.

This isn't a great improvement over a non-HDR TV when compared with more capable models at higher prices. I wouldn't buy it if you're primary reason for the purchase is HDR (either spend more or wait for prices to come down). It's a decent enough implementation if you want a bit of support on a TV being bought for other reasons though.

@msmyth Everything that advertises HDR supports HDR10.

The last few deals for this TV have been £620-650 so this isn't a particularly hot deal:

This is currently available from PRC Direct, with 5yr warranty, for £649. prcdirect.co.uk/eur…wcB

Stone cold.
Looks a good price to me! Even though the telly isn’t 10bit it reaches around 700nits which is a lot brighter than the usual 350-400nit 8bit panels.
These 49" deals for tvs where the 55" model has been fractionally more are always going to go cold.
With this model the differences are more than cosmetic as other people have said. If you are getting the mu7000 get 55" or above.

that was a big feature in me buying it pal
Why do people have to say nasty things when someone posts a deal? The OP goes out of their way to post something and there’s always some with negative comment.
If if it wasn’t for me I would skip past (on this occasion it is as I need.a cheaper 40” as a second tv) but I appreciate that people post deals if they find them. Thank you OP
