Samsung UE49MU7000 49" Smart 4K Ultra HD LED TV - £484 @ Hughes

Was browsing for TV's and saw that Hughes have voucher codes on offer for certain TV's and this was one of them. If you use the £45 discount code then it totals to £484 delivered which is the cheapest I could find anywhere for this model.

It has 4 HDMI ports and I believe they come through the One Connect.

The voucher expires on 21/08/2018 and they aren't just specific to this model

Also, there are other TV's too like the new UE49NU7100 that works out to £504 after discount. link here: hughes.co.uk/pro…424

Keep in mind it just has the standard warranty (plus 10years screen burn) and not a 5/6 year one like the higher priced ones at other retailers.

Great price.
Good find. Also £100 of the 49NU8000 and 50NU7400. The 8000 comes with a 5 year waranty so matches the likes of Richer Sounds etc.
Excellent find. Thanks for sharing @HSK93
JL still have some instore stock of these. I managed to get one in Cardiff price matched with the recent RGB deal for this model at £499 recently. Worth a shot for the free 5 yr warrenty if you are near a JL store thag has stock, as Hughes' 5 yr warrenty says £200 odd.

Great TV though. Enjoying it so far 👌

Fyi the stand legs are 137cm appart so you need a fairly wide tv cabinet

Can be had for £509 from Richer Sounds by price matching this deal from RGB and you get 6 year warranty. RGB were selling with 5 year warranty, hence they would do the match.

Someone should see if they will match this price and chuck in 6 years
which one is better the NU MODEL NUMBER OR THE MU MODEL NUMBER?

which one is better the NU MODEL NUMBER OR THE MU MODEL NUMBER?

I think the NU8000 is equivalent to the MU7000.

You'd think the NU7100 would be the successor, but it isn't the same specification - think they've been a bit naughty with the model numbering.

Really good deal. I've done a lot of research and just bought mine from very with 10% off from £630 to about £570 using new members discount code and i thought i was getting an amazing deal as man in Currys said they sold out and buying that t.v. at that price was a no brainer as they had somethig similar on offer at higher price
Please could anyone tell me the measurement between the stand legs, not sure if this will sit on my corner cabinet. Thanks

Sold em all, had some yesterday

Have expired the deal...
Unfortunately this TV is not as good as the other '7000' range TVs - Samsung are really messing around with product numbers to confuse consimer
Is this the one with the 8 bit panel?
Bought this exact model last week from Richer Sounds for £509 including a 6 year warranty.
Granted, there are better Screens, but for only £509, it's great value!

Is this the one with the 8 bit panel?

Yes
This is very similar to lg43uj630v which is 330 from Richer Sounds in term of spec no major doff I can see really for the casual person 200 extra jus for a Samsung not worth it Imo
Can someone explain the difference between this and the ue49nu7100?

No the letter is the year. M is last years and n this years. The higher the last 4 digits is the higher the spec. Usually starts 5000 and goes to 9000 sometimes 9500 and sometimes 8000 I would buy a 5 series but 7 and above are cracking tv’s.
I wouldn’t buy a 5 series . Sorry error in last post

Probably got 1 tiny change in spec or cosmetic change. Not sure. But the higher the number the better it is
These 7 series don’t normally get this low. People usually fighting over them around £699 price .
The NU7100 although newer, is the 2018 entry level TV from Samsung. The NU8000 is the 2018 version of the MU7000 posted, which in the US is actually called the MU8000.

The MU7000 is better than the NU7100 but it depends wether you want a new 2018 model or if you happy with last years mid-range model.

Yes

True, 8 bits panel for 49' and any above are 10 bits

Have they changed their numbering then? Used to be 5000 5 series and 6000 6 series below this 7000 7 series

Yeah it seems different this year. I think it's still the same where the higher the model number, the better the TV. With the new N models, it's just starting at 7 for some reason, maybe to make people think the models are better this year.

Sorry not very technical... what does 8 bit panel mean in practical sense? Donhigher models have 10 bit or 16bit ? What difference would it make.... sorry if that’s a basic question
