Good TV for the price although only 60hz refresh rate compared to the 55 inch version.

Seems a great telly for the price. Any owners on here can offer their opinion?
Also worth noting £100 off an Xbox One X console when purchasing this telly.
Not sure how this compares to the UE49MU7000, but if it's just Curry's equivalent code then it's not a bad price at all (although I did get the 7000 for £615 just after Christmas but I've not seen it at that price since).
LCD?
Only about £100 more for the 55".

I would much rather have the 55" as for me it is more versatile to fit on smaller tv cabinets as the feet has 2 width positions where as the 49" does not.

Very poor choice considering the far superior models available for a little more with a longer warranty.
I have been considering the UE49MU6400. Is there much difference between these two, besides the 6400 being cheaper. Thanks

I bought the 6400 originally. It looked great TV for the price. It has a problem with light bleed though. Some people don't mind or really notice it but, if you watch in a dark room, or watch letterbox format films then it's very obvious. Seems to be a design fault. If you Google it, you'll find lots of people complaining about it. Changed it for the 7000 which, it has to be said, is a better set but not by the margin of the extra cost.
Is this a 10bit panel like the 55in version? Does it have local dimming?

'10 bit' (8 bit + FRC) like the 55" displayspecifications.com/en/…b04
it has a version of local dimming that is not very good, the 55" is the same in this respect. I have mine set to low local dimming.

Only downside for me is Samsung TV guide does not have Freeview Play built in

Also same price on Richer sounds with 6 year warrenty at the moment

I thought the 55" was native 10bit?
