Good luck.

Posts appear positive too. Have some heat. Although no idea how it compares to newer sets at similar price point.

cold because it's not curved..

Have just found out Samsung have removed some smart functions (On TV as in the 2nd picture on JL site) from 2014 (only) TV's like this. Why I don't know but older versions still support it!

you want this one then johnlewis.com/lg-…139

I bought the 40" version of this on Black Friday. hotukdeals.com/dea…617 has some links to reviews and the manuals.
I don't bother with the voice control - it didn't work when I tried it, and then there were the stories about the security concerns. I do like the smart remote. You click a button and then move the remote around to move a cursor around, a bit like a Wii remote.

It does record to a hard disk, but its pretty poor. You can only record the program which is on screen, and the interface to view recordings is very clunky.

I know I say this every time it's posted but

I have the 40 and it's near perfect. However the 50" isn't a Samsung panel so make sure you are happy with the 50" review and don't go off a 40"

The 50" isn't a Samsung panel ????? Did Samsung stop making them at 40" then ?? Seems abit odd that to me !!!

odd or not, it's what happened

I've got the 48" and it's brilliant for watching football/sports and gaming. No input lag and very responsive. Voice control is fairly decent too and the smart hub isn't slow to respond.

Can't be bothered to refind it. But trust me. I'm a good human

i have found that ALL Samsung TV,s can indeed have panels not made by Samsung , its not just 50" effects ALL sizes here , although a few years ago now.

amazon.com/rev…-20

Its seems you need to check the serial label on the back , it should be a TS number ie TS01

Yes this was five years or more ago. The higher the model number the better panel you will get this is true across all the brands. Samsung's explanation was at the time that they were matching panels which best suit the specifications of a particular model. This was several years ago I have found no recent comparison. I asked the person claiming all 50'' inch Samsung models have non Samsung panels for a link but he was unable to supply the same. It's not enough for me to take their word that they read it somewhere however good a human they are

Does this have motion control?

Just bought for £499 last week from pixmania
sure JL is better with 5 year warranty.

The JL website says "Sorry, we couldn't find this page" when you click the link. I guess it is out of stock.

It comes with two remotes. One is a traditional one. The other is a motion control one which looks like the 2014 one described here cnet.com/uk/…ol/

Just bought one thanks to the advice about asking around the stores. They found me one in Newbury. No idea where that is but they're sending it to my home anyway. £549 with the glasses and guarantee. Nice one. Cheers.

First of all CHAPS! I've owned this television set and it was the WORST tv I've ever owned... Since it's a Samsung TV so you will experience incredible lag when gaming on this television!! DON'T even get me started on the ghosting effect you will receive when watching TV. I was watching lord of the dance and the incredible dancer that is Michael Flatley looked like he had 4 legs!!!

Now as for the colour quality... WORDS CANNOT EXPLAIN... All I'm going to say is that I thought I was having some issues with my eyeballs. It was all washed out and the saturation was that bad I thought I was having an LSD trip.

Plus side of this Samsung Television set is that you can still use Scart cables, This is a HUGE plus in my box as my VHS player does not support HDMI Cable.

Not sure if you're messing around or not because of the jokey tone (which is funny). But I haven't read a single bad review about this TV. Not that they are more trustworthy than you but still unsure due to the jokes. Maybe you work for Sony. I'll find out soon I guess. Cheers.
