You get a 6 year warranty when you buy the TV for £469 at Richer Sounds

I’d rather pay another £20 for the Richer Sounds 6yr Warranty.

Just stuck in a price match request with John Lewis. Fingers crossed

Can’t see it in spec but does anyone have this TV? If you do does it have WiFi?

I bought the 40" version of these (40MU6120) from Argos on Nov 2 and I'm having issues with scheduled recording. The TV appears to be recording OK as long as I don't switch it on again but if I watch it then the planner still shows the progs to be recorded but it doesn't do it. I'm still investigating this 'feature'

I’m sure they’d honour it

If you use the code VCB40 you get £40 off and it goes down to £439.

This is AV panel, LG has IPS. AV has better dark scenes, but worst viewing angle.
Also note the LG has RGBW, which is not really 4K, and might produce some weird effects using 4K sources.

If you don't need wide viewing angles, or don't mind much about the smart features (LG is probably better there) I think this one is a better TV

With the disccount already posted VCB40, this TV costs £439

just placed my order, they had a "technical issue" called up it went through twice! they are going to refund my second order. While on the phone she said I got the last one so an FYI for everyone. Will return if a better deal comes up tomorrow somewhere else. Thanks for the post and VCB40 discount code

He was having you on it's still in stock

JL price matched this at £439. Will go for that unless it gets cheaper tomorrow.

Can you post your price match response here?

John Lewis have reduced the price to £469 with 5 year warranty

Same happened to me technical difficulty 3 times then tried with PayPal and I had an email saying payment sent. Turns out all my credit card purchases failed but PayPal went through - in case this helps anyone.

Got this Price Matched by John Lewis for £439, so got the benefit of their 5 yr parts and labour guarantee, too. Delivery will take a week, but that's the only downside. Very quick and easy to do. Never done a Price Match before!

being a tad dim here - and clueless about TV's.. just want it for browsing/ smart + bluetooth features - don't do any gaming etc- wanted to know if this has the freeview/freesat channels (all of them) which one can rewind/ playback and view dating back a week or so (iplayer//ch4/ itv)?

Already price matched this one from JL - Samsung UE40MU6400

liking the bigger size of this deal- but apart from size, not sure which is the better deal. please help!

Snap. 40MU6400 for £399 or 50MU6120 for £439, both from JL. I’m torn. Heard about some motion judder with the 6120 and it doesn’t have the active colour technology.

At 40 inches, there is little benefit of 4K but the HD pic should be good. Help.

How long did it take you guys to get a price match from JL? I requested it 3 hours ago and nothing yet.

Thank you for your enquiry.

In order to apply a price reduction on a purchase, the criteria in our pricing policy must be met. I regret that after review the request you have submitted does not match all or parts of this policy.

In accordance with the Never Knowingly Undersold policy;

"We match prices publicly available to all customers, based on those displayed in a shop, on the high street competitor's own website, or the first price quoted to us over the phone. The price has to apply to an identical individual product in terms of make, model, size or colour. ... We don't match prices only available via 3rd party websites, or with voucher codes.”

Therefore, we cannot accept the price match as our policy defines we cannot match, "voucher codes."

This includes the voucher code of VCB40 that will reduce the first quoted price from £479.00 to £439.00, which you enter into the checkout upon purchase. Therefore, the original purchase price - the first price quoted, is the price we match, not the price after discount.

For a code to qualify for the John Lewis Never Knowingly Undersold criteria it must be publicly displayed on the website next to the product, available to all and permanent. The voucher code VCB40 at Co-Op Electrical for Samsung UE50MU6120 HDR 4K Ultra HD Smart TV, 50" with TVPlus, Black is not displayed owith the product and therefore does not meet our criteria.

If you would like to read more on our Never Knowingly Undersold Policy, you can do so on our website.

I apologise we have not been able to process a price reduction on this occasion. If you require any further assistance do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely

This or the 40MU6400? Doing one of them tonight.

which one did you opt for then? am in the same boat... read the 6400 is a better buy with the voice remote etc but the screen is too small for the room..

Had a u-turn at the final hour and grabbed the KDL49WE753 from amazon. Seemed to be a good alternative for my budget and quality/size requirement.

Just to let you guys know it is now £449 on the John Lewis website, they now do price match with Co-Op so £439 + 5yr John Lewis warranty.

Richersounds also do it for £449 with 6 year warranty.

Over to you and enjoy the new sets!
