Can you edit the deal please? You haven't actually mentioned which TV it is. (It's the UE50MU6120).

All the best, I’m in one of those moods
Abouit right price for a 50" that doesnt have 10bit HDR. Heat added.
I've heard about issues with clarity when using a ps4- any reviews from anyone.

What do you mean? Why would there be issues with a PS4 specifically?

I'm not sure that you know what you're asking. This TV will display the output from a PS4 no problem, as will any other HDMI TV. If you're asking whether the picture on this TV (from PS4 or otherwise) would be comparable to a £2000 LG OLED, then as with lots of things 'it depends' but generally speaking no. However purely comparing brand with brand is essentially meaningless unless you can add into the mix more info about the specific panels in question.

Unless you can narrow your enquiry, I'm not sure how you're to be contented.
I'm debating on this one or the 6400.

No I think there asking regarding the hdr quality for PS4 pro as not 10bit
I bought this TV last week for £439, can I still claim the difference? Have any one done this before?
So far I like this TV, sound quality is excellent.

According to John Lewis policy you can claim a refund for the difference within 28 days of purchase

Yes, you can still claim for £399
Just fill an online price match claim form and send it over to JL
They will refund you the difference amount.

Terrible comment. Total lack of punctuation. I’m appalled.
Hdr on this model is just ok. Its Hdr 8bit +frc. Coming from a 480p its a major upgrade. You get 16 million colours rather than a billion.

Yes please can you explain the hdr ?

Why is HDR just ok?

Doesn't get bright enough as well as the panel not being able to display the full range of colours.

Hdr 10 has a range of 1 billion colours to choose from. Hdr 8 has 16m. To the normal person, they couldn't tell the difference. But side by side, you will see much more brighter colours on the hdr 10 models.

Every tv deal I look at, someone says not to go for it lol

When I used to shop for TVs, the thing that set one apart from the other was whether or not it had a VCR attached to it. Nowadays people are calling a TV rubbish because it "only" shows 16 million colours rather than a billion.

Overall is this 50" tv worth buying is it good?
In this price bracket it’s fine

its splitting hairs at best merry xmas
If any of you are in the market for a soundbar or blueray player you might be better off paying more and getting it from RIcher Sounds as there's a cashback promotion running that doesn't include John Lewis.

RGB direct also selling for £399, only 1 year warranty but does come with 10 free UHD movies, Promo offered by Samsung
John Lewis just price matched for me no problem so went with there 5 year warranty instead.
I own this T.V. Its good for the price. No one said that this telly was rubbish..
Exceptionally high postage costs to Northern Ireland put me off! £79! I have no idea how the likes of amazon, tesco direct, currys et al can do it for free! Frustrating! Heated for the price, sadly not for me though
