Even better

and richer have some cashback on samsung soundbars if you want one (approx 400+ with 200 back)- John lewis are excluded for some reason.

how does this compare to the Hisense 5700 ? Hearing good things about Hisense and this is the bottom of the range for Samsung so quite curious !

8 bit panel, would rather spend a little more and get a 10 bit panel. This is over priced for the spec, can see why people think it's a good deal but when you break down the specs it really isn't.

I have this TV and it’s very good, good 4K and HDR but also 1080p and standard def looks good too

FYI. I read that these models are missing some minor features compared to the 6100 , no Bluetooth, no voice recognition remote control and no mbr.

I have heard good and bad things about them, mainly bad recently saying that sound quality is very poor, some of their models cannot handle motion very well and also most models are very slugish. If they improve this then they pose a very big threat for the future though as they do 10 bit panels for not too much money

Would recommend this tv. I paid £450 4weeks ago for this at argos with codes and only 1 year guarantee. So 5 years at £469 in a better deal. Heat added.

Ps. You can set up Bluetooth with secret menu. Check on YouTube. Sorry can’t find the link. But it definitely gets you Bluetooth.

Is this any good for gaming wanting one to use with the Xbox one x, but I’m struggling to pick the right tv. If anyone can point me in the right direction would be a great help

I'm in the same boat, looking for a decent gaming tv for around £500 but can't find one that I'm 100% about

Can anyone confirm if this is any good for gaming? Xbox one s and xbox one x?

CAN SOME TAG A GOOD 49/55 inch for £500 £600.. the LG looks good I keep seeing them

How does the UHD compare to HDR?

They're completely different things. UHD refers to the 3840x2160 resolution, also known as 4K, while HDR is the new picture standards for definiting colour and brightness - although this isn't able to reproduce much beyond SDR range so it's mainly for compatibility.

A 10-bit panel isn't what improves HDR capability, the main hardware there is a wide gamut backlight and local dimming system.

The Hisense N6800 is a good bet if the narrow viewing angles don't impact you.

Just purchased form Richer Sounds for the 6 year guarantee!

This TV is £459 at Currys today and £449 at AO. Phoned JL to buy one and they price matched Currys without any pushing (their website says they don't match AO as AO have no stores). £469 still a great price, but £459 a little better!

Great! Thx for the deal. Was in the market for a reasonable 4K 50-ish" set for an elderly relative and your deal helped bring this to my attention - esp liked the "Which" comment (which I hadn't realised). Went down to Currys earlier to audition sets and liked the picture quality (after a little tweaking!) and the remote layout and ergonomics generally. Much preferred this set to the LG that had been at the top of my list. Currys had a great price but I was much happier buying it from JL (at £459). I'm going to set it up tomorrow and hoping it will be much appreciated! Thank you for sharing!

How do you get them to price match. Just ordered for a neighbor @ £469.

£413 from Currys if you go via topcashback (10% cashback on all Samsung TV's).

I ordered yesterday but did live chat with JL and they have noted on account and I have to contact when delivered to get £20 refund x

hiya a few questions please... ive read this has catchup- but just want to ensure if that means that it also has freesat/freeview channels on tap too?

it doesn't have a voice remote- not sure if that necessary..

..but also, someone somwhere said Bluetooth can be enabled by watching a tutorial on youtuba and accessing a 'secret menu'.. can anyone confirm please?
