To be frank, I have a Samsung 65NU7400 and it's excellent.
£300 for a Samsung 4k TV, never mind the HDR arguments, is excellent value for money
Better off paying for the extra warranty (5 Years) from JL for £349. Link
Great price, so heat given.

Personally I would pay the extra and go for the 5 year warranty.

We paid around £350 for our Sony TV, it has developed a fault after 4 years, so glad we purchased it from John Lewis, otherwise it would have been going in the bin and another TV would have to be purchased.

John Lewis customer service is excellent. Speaking from past experience, they were really helpful in resolving my faulty TV.

Thank you. Keep posting those TV deals, your doing a fab job
£50 for a warranty or if it dies you have to pay another £300.
Remember, if it didn't have the 20% off it would be more expensive than JL.
Sets are made as cheap as possible now. Depends on the individual about warranty

I would do away with the extra £50 and take my chances. Never had a TV yet that’s died on me within 4-5 years after which time I would invest in a newer model with £50 to put towards it.
All depends on the individual as you say.
I’ve had a Samsung needing a new screen within 2 years and a LG needing a new remote and remote sensor with 1 1/2 years. That’s why I keep going back to John Lewis to buy electrics like the tv. They sent a repair guy who took the tv away and after a week was back all working again.
Whats the input lag ?

eBay used to have that square trade insurance below the listing before. Where's it gone?

I wonder how good it was...
