I'm not expecting much heat for this as I appreciate this isn't in everyone's price range. However this is the cheapest I've found this TV for a while so it might come in handy for a couple of you guys.

Now £1626.50, further £1.50 discount...

Great price, paid this for the 46" version only 6 months ago. I'd turn off the camera though as it activates when you don't want it to. The voice recognition works well & is actually pretty useful.

Oh dear, I have the 65" version of this. The reviews were excellent and in my opinion, it's the best picture I've ever seen on any TV. Maybe I should have asked you first?

no doubt its the best lcd about i dont disagree but its certainly not the best tv, if you had asked me i would of moved you away from lcd at that screen size unless you enjoy bleed and clouding and other lcd traits

Look Diddy next to my 70 " :-)

This is a good price, I'm still waiting for this to go below £1500 though. I reckon it might when the F series is released.

I have this tv and its the best picture you can get with lots of gadgets free view hd freesat hd and can even control motorized sat

We were thinking about getting an lcd/led but all of those who know about such things and calibrate tv's say the plasma panels still produce the most natural pictures.

Its Samsung anyway, COLD. I actually thought that maybe Samsung does bad phones, but TV seems OK and I bought one of them. Bug which prevents from using all Samsung TVs with external harddrive (which is required for all PVR and timeshift functionality) is well know for Samsung since 2008, and its still not resolved.
Bugs, bugs everywhere, nothing works as supposed.

They are trying to shift all TV's ASAP, coz 4k is around the corner, and they know it... and they think we are mugs!

Let me ask you a question, if you overheard someone on the street tell his friend that he had £5000 in the bank, would stop them to tell him "that's not much compared to my £7000"?

although costco is about £150 more expensive, i would get mine at costco which is currently £1787.98 as even after say 4 years 11 months down the line, if its an uneconomical repair you get every penny you paid for the tv. i have been told john lewis warranty doesnt stand as well as that, i may be wrong but that is what i have been told

Keep blindly voting hot, it's been out of stock since it was posted......

Played uncharted 3 in 3D on this. Absolutely amazing and already saving my pennies to buy this tv. Hope the 46 drops to under 1k.

Also: you're a size 8 shoe? Haaaa i'm size 11!!!

Best TV ever in my opinion.

The picture is just...WOW.

Love the smart side of it too, the PLEX app getting the most frequent use. Streaming stuff from my PC has never looked so good.

4k screens yes but not 4k materal ,so I wouldn't be hanging around for a 4k screen just because you may be able to use it in a few years time.Sky don't even broadcast in 1080p yet and how long has that been out

Next-gen games consoles maybe? They are out very soon.

An excellent TV, and a very good price. I paid £1725 for mine back in Nov last year, although I did also get £200 of free other Samsung products, so got a Galaxy Tab 2.0 and some spare 3D glasses.

There are always going to be people who knock ANY TV, but for your average "normal" person, this gives an excellent picture, and has some great features.

My most used are Skype, which is so convenient always being on and available, and also the Plex app, which works really well.

You said it,maybe

I have the 46 version and its an amazing TV, got JL to PM at 1400 6months ago, a fair spend.

Though, I do use the Voice activation on occasions, I generally find useless apart from turning the TV on and off if you have SKY. Camera is superb for Skype, though I do switch it off as it has the tendency to activate randomly!

umm your wrong .

tv`s measures from corner to corner.. which would be 2 x 40 = 80
super widescreen lol

To make an 80" TV of the same aspect ratio would require 4 panels.

The dimensions of a 40" panel are:

34.8" x 19.6"

Dimensions of two 40" panels side by side:

69.6" x 19.6"

Which would give you a diagonal measurement of:

(69.6^2 + 19.6^2)^(1/2) = 72.3

Therefore in either case you're wrong you muppet

No chance, everything will only be upscaled.
Blu-rays hold 25gb of info on each side. A 4k disc, would have to hold 24.3 Gigabytes for every minute of video. Thats, 1.46 Terabytes per hour. So we should be good for a two minute movie.

4K RAW (4096 x 2160), 24fps, 16-bit: 405 Megabytes per second- 24.3 Gigabytes per minute – 1.46 Terabytes per hour
