£20 less than it was at the weekend, but also a lower Quidco / TCB rate so probably net's out.

Don't forget to check to see if your employer offers discounts on Curry's vouchers. My old employer, current employer and wife's employer all offered between 6-9% off for vouchers.

Can you move the feet stand closer in?

trying to find an answer for this .... anyone had or heard of issues with back plastic panel coming off ? wondering if it is safe to wall hang it ? or wall bracket screws gets attached to TV via the back panel ? Please advice ?

Mine is wall hung and it's fine no issues what so ever. I did see another thread on this before, and it may have been when they first came out, and therefore this issue has now been resolved?

I would say that both John Lewis and Richer Sounds sell (or did sell) this TV as well and their 5 Year warranty is much better than Currys (Google it and see the problems people have with claiming) and they both price match as well.

Cold, not 8-bit :-)

It is 10-bit mate, been keeping an eye on these to drop in price avforums.com/rev…659

You cannot adjust the feet although i'm not sure why they didn't move the feet further in another couple of inches, it still would be stable enough because of the angle of the feet and the back panel on mine doesn't seem to be coming away although it is only 4 days old.

Anyone think the 55" KS8000 might drop to £1200 on Black Friday?
Edited by: "wacsa" 21st Nov 2016

voted cold purely
on the basis of it being more expensive than the day before, when the quidco was worth £99.

can't seem to checkout anyway, was checking if the code works. Won't let me checkout the 55 or the 65. OOS or delivery not available. 60 checks out. Pretty lame deal though anyway. Will wait or not bother at all.

Yes

Yes

I think it's only the 65" model which has two different foot locations, my 55" doesn't so I bought a universal VESA pedestal stand from amazon for £40.

It seems to be quite a common issue with some people have to return 2 or 3 sets before getting one that doesn't have the back panel coming away even while still boxed, it's only stuck on with double sided tape. It is safe to wall hang it even with that issue though as you're not hanging it only by the back panel.

799 is good but graded from an untrustworthy site with questionable customer service on a tv known to develop faults. Not for me.

are the soundboard offers worth it?

great, that answers my question. As with guarantee , we can return if at all back panel comes off , But i didnt want to take risk if it is the one holding it on to the wall , not good on such things sorry ..thank you

Sory, take that back. I speed read that as can you remove feet.

I dont think You can move

Please ignore my reply

It says this is an ultra uhd premium set. Does that mean it supports dolby vision also?

49" also dropped to £879!

No, just HDR10.

Gosh these new TVs are the most confusing ever. You have 8 bit panels, 10 bit panels, 4k, 4k rgbw (3k) ultra HD premium, hdr ready, hdr 10, dolby vision, local dimming, edge lit screens, oled screens, ips screens, va screens, flat screens, curved screens. I mean how are we meant to make sense of it all without an insane amount of research.

£934.00 ...if u add the code .... Thats good price !!!! Heat added

And Y not but it now and in case it comes down during BF , we can price match ?

I believe they will price match within 7 days.

price matched by Richer Sounds

If Richer Sounds matched the Currys price with discount code (934) I would order right now.

From what I've heard Richer Sound's support is probably worth the extra £45 over Currys saving..

KS7000, just add it to the checkout area.

Anyone know how well this deals with SD channels? Someone posted on another thread the KS8000 doesn't deal with them well at all. I'm after a top spec 49 inch 4K tv
Edited by: "messi_the_best" 22nd Nov 2016

KS7000 does work to get it to £934. The code for a half price 4K bluray player has stopped working though. I've msg'd them to find out why.
Richer sounds just matched this for me, £934 plus £145 for the 4K BluRay with a bunch of films.

Maybe the headline should be updated to show £934 rather than £979 ?

Assuming you have one from that comment - apologies if you don't - could you be a massive help and measure gap between the feet?

Needing to fit onto a 120cm wide TV unit and nobody seems to mention this dimension on any of their models.

Aside from SONY and a few LG models nothing seems to come on a central stand/base these days.

I just read a post saying the feet are 1120mm apart s21.com/sam…htm

If you are referring to the 55" - just measured mine and you will need at least a 112cm so you are fine.

Excellent, thankyou both for that - appreciate it.

Ideas for a stand for this please
