Genuine 4k or faux 4k?

Today John Lewis offer me price match for £735 including 5 years guarantee with this Samsung but delivery time next Friday I can't wait that long. Anyway this is a great TV with very good review.

Unfortunately, rldistribution doesn't have good trustpilot reviews

i asked JL if they would price match tv direct , who are selling the 49" model online for £569.98. what do you my chances are? thanks mark

Bought this Tv with 6 year guarantee from richer sounds a month ago for £829. You won't be disappointed, after lots of research, this is about the best you'll get for under £1200 for an oled

Lots of research would tell you that is not an OLED

Only an 8-bit panel so not proper HDR, 10-bit panels start with the 7000 series.

good for hdr pron

^^ This. I think this is referred to as HDR capable - it can receive an HDR signal but may not be able to render it lol

This should be smoking. I paid £829 little over a month ago. Amazing TV.

Yes I know, I meant the next best thing is 1200 for an OLED.

If you can wait till Black Friday I would do so. You will find much higher spec units than this for a similar price. It's not that far away.

Much higher spec? 40" Techwood TV's @ Tesco for £200? Don't think so :-P

Thanks!

good price

I'd decided this was the Tv to go for, at my budget (<£800), and was about to pick one up. Good timing OP. Heat definitely added.

Even though its says 55 inch on the title, but the contents says otherwise !!

Is this TV better then the Sony KD55XD8005BU please?

2 percent quidco cashback

I have the 40-inch version of this and it's excellent. Very, very low latency with game mode on.

HDR isn't proper HDR.

If you compare the review for the ue55ku6400 and the review for the KD55XD8005BU/CBU , they are on a par really (ignore the model numbers in the top of the reviews, they are the US model numbers). I was undecided between these TV's for a while, but this offer made me choose the Samsung. Both solid 4k Tv's for the money, from everything I can tell.

Can get it for £684.99 (+£4.99 delivery) on the co-op electrical site. It's listed as £774.99 but you get £40 off for being a member (costs £1 to join if you're not) then another £50 off with code VCCP50.

Plus another £17 back through topcashback if it pays, bringing it down to a grand total of ~£673 which is a bargain!

Co-op seem a lot more reputable than this company too, who have some shocking reviews on trust pilot..

And Coop Electrical Shop don't?

I have the 65" version of this - excellent TV all round for the money.

Note - I renamed HDMI 1 to PC to enable PC mode which I find gives a superior picture to normal "game mode" - I don't notice any difference in latency, some say PC mode is less, some game mode.

The BIG differerence for me is that I don't have to remember to go into sub menus to turn game mode off after I switch my consoles or media PC off and go back to freeview etc - the TV appears to realise what the input is and adjusts automatically and turns PC mode off..

Wow, I take it back! I assumed being quite a well known brand, and having used them before with no issue that they'd have fairly decent reviews. I should've checked first, they've got a worse score than rlr!

Use either at your own risk...

Went with coop I'm the end. Had it delivered today and again, can't fault them. The driver even got us to unpack it to check that everything was ok before he left
