Any thoughts on this tv please ???.....tbh i have been put off samsung as my dad has had 2 go bang in the space of 2-3 years life span each so only considering buying a new 4k tv with a big warranty which richer sounds are giving on virtually all tv's for free, also this tv is stating upto £500 cashback if you buy soundbar etc.....is this tv any good or does anyone own the same set.....i am considering this or a hisene 55" at £499 with same 6 year warranty but unsure if the samsung is a better quality set.....what do you think ?

5” diagnolly is quite a big difference. Would be more correct to compare like for like.

Suppose it might be a difference for some - not much of one for me though with nearly £130 extra to spend!

Like any good woman would say an extra 5" inches makes a BIG difference ha ha.....nah tbh i already have a 60" inch plasma on it's way out and cannot go to a 50" and being on a budget i want to be in the middle so 55" is my limit.

Agreed.....quite a difference from 50-55 inch even though a fair bit more for the bigger screen but worth it in my opinion

Some say £130 extra is a big difference.. Some not.
130/6 years is less than £20 pa. Which is about 6p a day.

Have you considered buying non premium branded bread? You'll potentially save more there..
Dolby vision ?
I won't touch a samsung tv for the same reasons. I've had nothing but grief.

Only buy LG.. had no grief. Great quality and price.

Only my 2p

It's all down to personal circumstances. My Samsung is still going strong after 8 years and fathers LG died after 13 months. I wouldn't get a modern tv without a minimum 5 year guarantee.

LG are good tellies. However having some issues with mine and it’s not even 2 years old. Screen goes fuzzy and the web browser crashes claiming its got not enough memory. LG aware of problem as it’s all over their LG community site.

Don't do it. Don't ruin your life for the sake of 5 inches.
I've had 2 Samsung TVs break just outside of warranty, wouldn't buy another.
