Model number UE55MU6400

been monitoring this TV for a while, deciding whether I should bite or not. It's been fluctuating between £550-£600 the last couple of months.
It was £579 on powerdirect last week.

Heat added, think anything for than £600 would be too much for this.
If that's the 6400 model, its renowned for backlight bleed.
£10 cheaper than JL, bit of lottery with light bleed with these panels.

Anything at this price area is going to have issues. It's what you're comparing it to and if people will notice.
If someone is replacing a 3-4 year old TV, shouldn't be any worse.
It won't be worth even bothering with the HDR on this.
Spending anything less than around £1100 (Sony XE9005) is going to have relatively poor HDR and display issues - but you pays your money, you takes your chances.
Surely the thing in brackets should be (not 10bit)?
Spend the extra and get Mu7000

I disagree with the point of " If someone is replacing a 3-4 year old TV, shouldn't be any worst" I have a pioneer Kuro from 2011, so 7 years old. This Tv wouldn't even come close despite its 4k resolution. It's not great. I agree with everything else.
Original Samsung LED’s were great quality, their latest batch of light bleed screens are pants!

Does light bleed affect the MU7000?
This or the Philips
Poor you.. You had to put not 10 bit in the description before the TV police started writing it everywhere. Although it's kind of fake 10 bit tbh. 8bit + Frc.

They don't all have light bleed. It depends if you end up having a slightly faulty panel. I've had a 6400 for 2-3 months, issue free. Lots of great reviews. Excellent TV. I'm swapping mine for the 7000 though. Need extra hdmi and 10 bit on there
To be fair this is a lot of TV for the money. I've just upgraded from a 6 year old 47" Samsung LED and I'm happy enough no light bleed here and the included smart control is a great little extra. At the end of the day you're never going to get everything you want in a sub 1k TV, but I still think this is a lot of TV for the money and with a 6 year guarentee you can't really go wrong. This is a perfectly good mid range TV and great reviews if you get a panel with light bleed just contact richer sounds and swap it over.

I'd rather pay the extra tenner and get another years guarantee.
