Haven't seen this posted, seems a good deal!

EDIT - John Lewis now have it for the same price, but are also throwing in a free soundbar and wireless subwoofer!

BT are selling this for £789 (https://www.shop.bt.com/products/samsung-55--mu7000-4k-ultrahd-hdr1000-dynamic-crystal-colour-smart-led-tv-ue55mu7000txxu-D6PV.html) so ask Richer Sound to apply their Price Beat policy, which says it will beat competitor's prices by at least £10. Should therefore get it for £779.

Great find. Was just on the Richer Sounds site looking at the LG B7.

Paid £900 at Curry’s 6 weeks ago. The blacks are the best you’ll probably get on a led tv with the brightness.
This guy thinks it was the best tv for around for £1000 price tag 6 weeks ago.

Looks like a 10bit HDR on the 55... Tempted....

One of the best TVs you can get for this price hands down

This is a good price and a well regarded TV - 8bit + FRC

Was debating the Sony KD55XE9305 but this is a lot cheaper... hmm

Was going to buy the OLED, however came to the conclusion that should wait till they go sub £1k. Plus the temporary screen burn would get on my nerves. This is a good alternative and, and will last years. The tv has Good reviews and a 6 year warranty tops it off.

Pulled the trigger, John Lewis price matched and aren't charging £20 to have a specific day for delivery.

49Mu8000 for 799 is better

I see 10 bit mentioned and also 8bit + FRC

Which is it?

Where?

Just been to richer sounds and compared this with Sony XE900 and LG OLED B7. This was the dimmest panel with a lot of motion blur when I switched to a sports channel. I was expecting a bit more from the TV and was in store to buy this but came back empty handed once I did the comparison

Even RS website says 10bit. But I checked it on other site, it says 8bit+FRC. So what is it?

Where?

Rgb direct by phone only as they dont do 49ks8000 anymore.

I've noticed on the Samsung deals that there is often some poster talking about motion blur or motion sickness - what is this exactly?

People say that they have got sick playing games or that there is motion blurr on the screen. Does the entire screen blur or is it just parts of the screen during parts of the game?

How do you get motion sickness from a TV?

49” is 8bit + FRC, 55” and above is 10bit. I bought the 49” and lucky found this out before unboxing it and took it back.

I don't see a previous post either. Heat added!

It was posted earlier as I saw it. I had just purchased it, when I saw the post. Great deal heat added

It was posted earlier, but worthwhile mentioning on the Richer sounds web page it offers:

Yeah but I can't seem to find it anywhere now!

This deal was posted earlier by two different users but for some reason both posts have been removed!

I still can’t find it when I do a normal search for the tv model number in the HUKD site. For me I have to browse in the Richer Sounds deals. Explains why moderator took down my deal post! But seems to show a flaw in the search engine - or a flaw in my own search prowess.

I don’t like the words “up to” but if it ends up being a full £500, then that’s mighty kind of them. Wish Sonos did a claim back of this much... I want that sub!

Cashback is a bit of a con. The models are specific and around twice the value of each Cashback amount Samsung at least allow full item price to be reimbursed !

Great price. Was £999 at Currys about two months ago, but that did include a 4k player (think k8500 so worth £150) and a couple of 4k blurays.

Is there a massive sifference between the 6120/6220 the mu6400 and the mu7000?

Must be getting reduced so that is goes nicely from MU7000 to the new Q6, then Q7, then Q8, then Q9

Yes. With 55" and above its10bit, better nits brightness. Below 7000 they are all 4K but not fantastic due to their handling of HDR and lack of a proper 10 bit panel. 7000 is the sweet spot due to Q7 above being too much of an increase in price for what you get extra. Q6 introduction will make things interesting. Techrader rate Q9 as best tv around.

55' and 65' mu7000 - 8 bits + frc

Reviewing the 49" on Techradar suggests it's 10 bit.....
(Despite this 49-inch screen only being an 8-bit panel rather than the 10-bit examples used in all the bigger MU7000s including the 55- and 65-inch sizes.)

will john lewis price match this - even though you get a free soundbar at john lewis?

Check display specification website - says 8 bits + frc

Had a bad experience with this TV and the quality from Samsung. First TV had a massive black spot on the screen (internal) 2nd unit had a screw loose inside (or another metallic sounding object) 3rd unit had already been opened and box retaped up and finally 4th one had been battered around in the box and had terribly clouding from the backlight. Bad luck or poor quality control/handling by the courier, but would not have another
