What's the point of putting this much money in a tv}?

This much money in a tv, 800 quid?

You are just trolling for the sake of trolling aren't you, I'm not having it that's a genuine question

Brilliant price! Got the 49" for 799 last week, grrrrr
Tiptop spot, £80 cheaper than anywhere was on black friday / sales!!

120Hz true 10bit panel with HDR10+ support, low game lag, voice control that works...
other than a qLED or microLED, what more do you need

That will be the plan! Got a price match request in to JL now as purchased the 49" using gift vouchers from JL. Also got to convince my better half that we need to squash a 55" TV in the small gap we have cos we need a true 10 bit panel etc lol

That would be good!

Also just noticed that the samsung other offer is in play on all the soundbars & uhd blu-ray players, so might be a chance to get another £200 off the tv, then if not needed sell on the soundbar / bluray player!

Ha I can't have a tv like that it just looks wrong Samsung should stop doing curved like other brands. If it was flat I would buy 1.

A better dynamic range for HDR content would be nice.

Still, for £150 more than the MU6500 it's almost worth it for the better anti-glare filter alone given the way curved TVs spread reflections out. The extra dynamic range it does have is just the icing on the cake.
Great deal. Alas I got mine at full price back in October with the UHD 4k Blu-ray player, Everest and planet earth 2 thrown in. It's a fantastic telebox and the curve is sooooo sexy

They have the 55ks9000 for 899. From what i have read this is a much better tv, more in line with their Q range.

Each to their own. I would rather a better tv than a 5 year warranty.

Not related to this post but wondered if someone could help me. Are the KS models on Reliant direct new stock or refurbs? As they seem to be the only place still selling these models.

Really tempted by this. A shame JL won't Pricematch them, haven't tried Currys yet for the cashback reward.

Although I was in no way in the market for a curved TV, does anybody have any first hand experience having used one of similar standard for a length of time? My lounge is considerable (30ft) so no issues with viewing angles I'd hope?

Cheers.
I have this set. It is absolutely fantastic. You won’t be disappointed.
Brilliant TV.It was either one of these or the LG oled. After watching them I went for the qled.Colour and brightness is awesome but darker pics you do get a bit of white ghosting but it doesn't bother me.In all bargain.

I have the ks9000 and I'm blown away with it.You can certainly tell it's a top end TV when you view it.So bright and colourful.Worth the extra
Crystal colour is just last years qled, they moved the goal posts on what they brand qled.

Be careful. If I remember correctly from the T&Cs, John Lewis and Currys are excluded from that promotion
Been umming n ahhing on this all night, even am now to be honest as we want a nice 55 incher for the bedroom and this is the price bracket we had in mind.

That said I've now spent way too long ogling the QE55Q7F and 8F just to settle for an MU so the wait goes on.

With our JLP discount I am very confident of getting the 55" Q7 at under a grand within the next couple of months, alas not so sure about the Q8 but either way I'm sticking for now.
My brother got a Samsung 49" curve the other week (not this model was £500). It has a nice picture but it runs on Samsung OS which is crap and restrictive.

No idea if this is the same. I have a cheaper Philips 4k TV on android and couldn't switch to a TV without it being android base now.

We got a 65 inch XE9005 in the front room, not impressed with the Android on it at all to be honest.

It's very laggy and unresponsive, and because of thunder fly infestation last summer we have had two of them now and the OS has been shockingly slow on both. Much less frustrating to access them services through the PS4 or Xbone instead
Can't get a price match with John Lewis due to being an 'online only retailer'
