Product Overview

This brilliant 55 inch Samsung LED TV is the perfect way to spend an evening with your favourite shows. You’ll enjoy absolutely stunning sharpness and clarity that makes every little detail really pop thanks to its true 4K Ultra HD display. Meanwhile, the dynamic HDR10+ fills the screen with breathtaking, true-to-life colours that automatically adjust to bring out the best from each and every scene. Plus, Samsung’s Smart Hub offers a wide range of high-quality streaming apps, including Apple TV, so you’ll always have something new to watch. It can even connect to a Google Home or Amazon Alexa smart speaker, letting you use voice commands to browse channels – just make sure to download the Smart Things app and you’ll be good to go.

We want you to fully enjoy your new TV, so please be careful when unpacking it – pull it out of the box using the edges so that you don’t damage the screen. If you need to return your TV for any reason, we just ask that you don’t pack the plug in front of the screen as it could damage the TV in transit.

- 4K Ultra HD - Stunning sharpness, crystal clarity
- Dynamic HDR10+ delivers consistently spectacular colour
- True 4K provides stunning clarity for images & colours

I just can’t watch Samsung TV’s with the dreaded Global Dimming
I got this telly after sending back a £299 55 inch Linsar. The difference is night and day. The Samsung is at least one million four hundred and thirty two thousand times better.

It is worth every extra penny. Far less light bleed, far better picture. The sound from the built in speakers actually has some bass. The smart features work much more quickly than my aging firestick and Now TV boxes. Very, very happy with it. I've had it 5 months and would definitely get the same again at this price.

Top tip. Mine kept dropping WIFI when on stand by. Switch off your router and set up the WIFI manually, without a search by entering your SSID and password. Then switch router back on. Not dropped once in 2 months.

I can't see how you could get a better telly for the money. PS, this is not a cheapy Vestel panel like so many other brands budget models.

Did they finally fix it after the NU range?

Just to be sure you are talking about CE dimming that Samsung has always implemented (the one that can only be disabled in the service menu’s) and not local dimming right?

Unfortunately it does still seem to have the same poor viewing angles and CE dimming as the NU range from last year. Mine is awful I’ve ended up using my older Philips 4K model which admittedly has a “dirty” screen effect but at least when it’s viewed slightly off angle the colours still stay the same and it doesn’t have the distracting dimming happening.
This will replace my 10 year old Full HD Sony Bravia. Don't think there is much competition out there for the same money. Fingers crossed for a good experience. Reviews are mixed since this is a VA panel and not IPS.

Hi. Thank you for a feedback. Can you advise if it has got a good viewing angle? I am planning to mount tv on a chimney breast wall.

Really bad viewing angles on last years model (RU7400) not even 10 degrees off centre before the colour distorts slightly
Ordered on Thursday and it should be here on Friday. Many thanks for the post 😜
