Samsung should provide 2 years as per EU law no?
Richer Sounds price match? They give a 6 year warranty for VIP members...
Worth a shot... 😁
Don’t understand why folk get so hung up about guarantee periods on TVs.

I bought in the past a Panasonic TV and after 1 year and 1 month a big black line appeared in the middle of the TV. Since then I decided to buy TVs with a longer warranty (John Lewis 5 years or Richer sounds 6 years) that gives you peace of mind.
So close to biting... looking for a tv for gaming and it seems to fit the bill. Going to be a right pain trying to connect an N64 to this!
wish there was a sale on the 65"

Fair enough if you’ve had an experience like that. I am more concerned about extended warranties on white goods but good to have the cover for piece of mind like you say.

Yep me too. Wanting either a Samsung or LG with freesat tuner but can’t decided between a 50 or 55inch

I was going to go nuts and get 65... would barely fit on the TV unit!

The freesync/120hz spec’s pushing me towards this RU8000
This is an insane price. I bought this tv for £629 through Samsung 3 months back and even that was a steal for this tv. Great find 🏻
Arggghhh, do i buy do i buy.. Or are other retailers going to drop down to this level with better cover etc. The Black Friday conundrum.

Yep. I was holding out for another deal on the Samsung 50 RU7400 (£389 on amazon last week) but this is v tempting

I hope atari 2600 is compatible 🤞
Going to pass I think. Ticks all the boxes other than it’s just too big for our size room. Going to stick with 50
I bit. Thanks OP!
I'm thinking about it. Would like to buy from Currys or richer sounds which are my nearest stores. Wonder if they would price match?
Does anyone know where I can find the width of the stand feet? Can't find it anywhere and I need this to fit on a unit that'll probably be a bit small. I was looking for a 50" but this looks good if I knew it would fit. :/
so whats the difference between this one and ru7100??? PQ quality wise? I don't watch any sports, so 60hz is fine with me
This is a decent price for this but I want that extended warranty. Funny how the newer version of this TV is regarded as not as good as the older one. If I found an NU8000 for this price I would have gone for it.

Ebay AO site... Width Between Feet On Stand:104.5 cm
Regarding the width of the feet being 104.5cm. Does anyone know if there are other positions for the stand feet that are narrower since that is just too wide for my TV unit.
Ahh! Where's it gone???

I had a Panasonic TV with a 5 year warranty require 3 repairs during that period - it's not needed any further since then but it would have been a big problem for me without the 5 year warranty

Essentially yes! Also has freesync and can go up to 120hz, but if you’re not looking for them you’d be better off with the 7100

Same boat, but don’t feel confident I can pick a good deal.
