Such a good deal but only 12 months warranty. Will Richer Sounds match it? I heard they won't unless it has at least a 5 year warranty. Soooo tempted to buy from Amazon but my last Samsung's screen went after 4 years.

They did for me against Curry for Sony tv. They didn’t check the duration, just the price
has this got the brightness necessary for HDR at this price point ? or are we really looking at OLED or QLED for decent HDR performance ? tvs at 1k or just under ?

That's about the level I think now. I'm holding for a decent QLED or OLED around 1k for black Friday.

No. Last year's version (NU8000) was considerably better, it could reach 600-800 nits, whereas the RU8000 can only get around 300-400 nits.
