Samsung 55" RU8000 Dynamic Crystal Colour Smart 4K TV + Free JBL Bar Studio 2.0-Channel Soundbar with Bluetooth
Don't compromise. The Samsung UE55RU8000TXXU 55" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV with Bixby brings True 4K colour and clarity to your living room. Movies, sports, documentaries – whatever you love to watch – you'll get the brilliant colour, contrast, and brightness you'd expect (and deserve) from the latest 4K display.

Dynamic Crystal Colour gives it a further boost. With over one billion colours (that's 64 times more than a conventional UHD TV), everything looks more natural. No oversaturation or washed out colours, just a lifelike picture with extra depth.

Perfect shadows & highlights

Scary movies should be scary. Discover what's lurking in the shadows with HDR. It perfectly balances contrast and colours, so you see more detail in the shadows and highlights. We won't judge if you hide behind the sofa (honest).

Bixby voice control

The RU8000 has Bixby built-in. Change channels, stream a movie, switch off your smart lights, and more, just by using your voice. And if you've already got a Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa speaker, you can control the TV anywhere in your home.

Personalised recommendations

This seems fairly decent ay first glance. wait or plunge?
Looks a good tv. but the lack of Dolby vision makes it a no no for me.
You can get a Q60 55" for £651 from Samsung directly at the moment with a free 5 year gtee.

Need a student friend or someone with work perks to access the shop mind.
Richer sounds wins hands down. Our 43inch tv which has had lots of problems and even in its 5th year, they still send out the chap to repair it. John lewis are worthless wouldnt bother with them after a recent poor experience.

Tha Q60 is edge lit like the higher end LED models. My mate just got one and although it has a nice overall picture, you can very visibly see the white shine of the LEDs all the way round the screen edge - especially in the corners - in darker scenes.

Yep. I actually went for the q70r because of this!

Was just trying to point out that if the OP (or anyone else on this thread) knows someone who can access the 25% qled discount portal on the Samsung site you can get a better TV than this one for less money.

The 55" q70r comes out at £799 with the discount for instance.

Just a heads up I had Sony Kd changed the Tv and model I n 3 times in 12 months due to panel blurring watching football is terrible or a fast moving film not matter what setting you used all 3 was the same
you always ended up with a glow around the person and like little blocks everywhere
ended up swapping for an LG model had no problem s since
