True 4K

Don't compromise. The Samsung UE55RU8000TXXU 55" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV with Bixby brings True 4K colour and clarity to your living room. Movies, sports, documentaries – whatever you love to watch – you'll get the brilliant colour, contrast, and brightness you'd expect (and deserve) from the latest 4K display.

Dynamic Crystal Colour gives it a further boost. With over one billion colours (that's 64 times more than a conventional UHD TV), everything looks more natural. No oversaturation or washed out colours, just a lifelike picture with extra depth.

Perfect shadows & highlights

Scary movies should be scary. Discover what's lurking in the shadows with HDR. It perfectly balances contrast and colours, so you see more detail in the shadows and highlights. We won't judge if you hide behind the sofa (honest).

Bixby voice control

The RU8000 has Bixby built-in. Change channels, stream a movie, switch off your smart lights, and more, just by using your voice. And if you've already got a Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa speaker, you can control the TV anywhere in your home.

Personalised recommendations

Finished binging on that Netflix series? Just like that friend who knows all the best shows, the Universal Guide gives you recommendations tailored to you. Spend more time watching what you love.

Was looking at this last week. Operating system looks brilliant, the picture looks very good but be aware the viewing angles aren't great so more so than most other TV's this is best viewed head on. When viewed head on its supposedly the closest thing you can get to OLED without it being OLED in terms of picture.

Also by all accounts the previous years TV is actually better and has the same functionality all round, the only downside being finding stock

Heat anyway as its a great price for a very good TV (if it suits)
Any possibility of adding warranty? 1 year is risky to me.
Might as well fork out another £200 for a QLED Samsung. Or if you're spending that much, go for OLED! I did, and wouldn't ever go back to LED.
