Nearly bought the KU6400 yesterday but this seems so much better for the money
With the new 2017 QLED models that have just been released, I think we may see these 2016 UHD models start to drop in price.
Does anybody know if Currys will price match? I have some gift vouchers, and if they match, I might just bite.
Are you sure yours was the KS8000 , the back issues being reported are from the 7000 series from the research I did.
We have had this TV for 5 months now and it is simply stunning , the back is still firmly in place too , lol. No banding whatsoever on the sports on my set.
Paid £1665 for mine last October (without the free 4k blu ray player)
DO JL price match PRC as I am sure I've tried this before and they told me that they are an internet based company and not a bricks and mortar store and that although they have a showroom , this was not classed as a shop and was operated by a sister company or something iirc (it was a good while ago mind)
found nothing to complain about, love it.
Oh yes definitely the 8000 I paid £1800 from jl and was returned due to the faults stated, banding was horrific on football ,I now have the oled 65e6 and it's perfect but double the price
Make sure you are reading reviews from the KS8000 , not the 6/7000 series as they are completely different in their build and seem to be the ones riddled with problems.
The KS8000 has great build quality , no issues whatsoever with mine and I've owned since end of October '16.
You never know with jl they change like the wind depends who the operative is and what mood she he is in
To those who say this doesn't come with the free Blu-Ray player, scroll down to the package deals.
This is just one of two threads with a crazy amount of sets with the back coming apart, screen judder and blooming etc etc etc

Has really put me off.
AVforums is full of idiots. I wouldn't take their word as gospel.
Randomly, ditto.
Second one was perfect.
Secondly..."One such program, dubbed "Weeping Angel," allowed spies to turn a regular Samsung smart TV into a listening device."

Thirdly, get an OLED tv instead.
Is this free? It looks like its costs extra for the 4k blu ray player?
Its free (same price) further down the page
Thanks
ha ha stupidest comment i have heard yet. TV owners giving their opinion on TVs they own. yeah let's not listen to them.
I could use PRC and get 3.8% quidco as well but I like the convenience of the local store
Quidco do 3% rs instore now 2%
Surprised we've not anyone saying you can get a 65" TV from ASDA for like £49.99 and it's the same quality! Trolls go to town on expensive TV's on hear but you definitely get what you pay for!
Ah - excellent.
But damn, my registered card is expired and takes 24hrs to activate my newly added one. Can I wait that long lol
Pretty good as far as I'm aware.

Did RS price match include the blu ray player?
Yes. They have it up for £1849 and couldn't believe the PRC offer. Literally just come out of Sheffield shop from ordering.
I initially phoned their telesales but they couldn't match it but said they could instire. Spoke to the manager and he ok'd it so I rushed over to place the order.
Now stupidly realisedI bet they could have sorted payment over the phone and saved myself an hours round trip! Oh well.
Its also full of people who know their stuff and are particular about their gear, especially when spending a fair bit of money.
Might explain the poor reviews , Uk version of the KS8000 has been perfect for me for the last 5 months and its on around 50 hours + a week with a BT 4k box.
An idiot with an opinion, is still an idiot.
If they still got the same 'showroom' it's sat directly behind Heavies on the Hill which is a clothes shop for fat fxxks down Hilldene, call me petty but it's just left a negative impression on me for life (_;)
Expired ?
Yes looks like its expired.
Glad I dashed over this afternoon and didn't wait until tomorrow now!
