Looks good, thank you

Superb price, TV is worth that alone, is not top spec but has what the majority of non audiophiles would want. Impressed they've chucked in a decent soundbar and not some 120w thing.

But.. it's silver

I have this tv mine has some issues with motion blur / ghosting effect

Wow they are really trying to shift these substandard TVs before the 2017 sets launch

Shame no 5yo warranty on it but good price.

Not true HDR, still an 8 bit panel. Typical smoke and mirrors from the major manufacturers.

John Lewis will price match Crampton & Moore deals.
Had email this morning confirming they are matching the 49 inch 8000 with the SUHD player for the same price.

HDR debate not sure what this means but surely this will improve things on 8bit panels.

HDR10 Plus improves upon HDR10 by incorporating dynamic metadata instead … HDR10 Plus improves upon HDR10 by incorporating dynamic metadata instead of static metadata that's used in HDR10. Static metadata keeps the same brightness level throughout a TV show or movie, so some scenes that were meant to be bright, may be darker than originally intended because there will be other darker scenes that bring the overall brightness level down.Dynamic metadata eliminates this effect, and allows the TV to adjust the brightness level on a scene-by-scene or frame-by-frame basis, meaning content can be shown just as the director intended.Samsung has said all of its 2017 4K Ultra HD TVs, including the top-of-the-range QLED series support HDR10 Plus, but if you've got yourself a 2016 4K Ultra HD model, you don't need to throw it out as it will receive a firmware update later in 2017 that will bring HDR10 Plus with it.

Sound bar is decent, just set it up (3.1),bit bigger than my previous Samsung sound bar but a good improvement overall. It is Samsung giving the retailers the free sound bar to shift old stock. Well that is what JL told me.

I picked silver by mistake with my JL deal, they no longer have stock so cannot change for black model but happy with silver now, goes better with my Samsung KS8000.

Ok tv but regardless if u got space for a 65 without sitting less than 4 metres u shud get it...

Great price, been on to JL live chat to see if they'd price match... which they will, however they do not stock that soundbar so won't be able to offer the deal with soundbar.

Please let us know how you get on with JL. If not the same soundbar...can they offer an alternative or some further reduction in price

I had this on a different (similar) Samsung telly. If it looks like an odd halo effect around the edges of something stationery and something moving, then it's the rubbish image processing which is turned on by default. I can't remember what it's called, but it took me ages to find. The TV is SOOOO much better with this setting turned off.

Brought it, really a great samsung tv. Picture quality is so good.

Expensive, no need fir sound bar. 65M7000 with 6 year guarantee cost £999.

Make sure you connect the soundbar with either a HDMI lead through ARC or Optical as Samsungs wireless sound connection via Bluetooth only supports 2.1 so you will not be using the centre channel.

Considering they offer 5yo warranty and Crampton don't they probably will just say that.

JL Offered price match on TV only. No further reduction on price or alternative soundbar.

My H series Samsung only does 2.1 though optical also and I think that's pretty standard, it does some fancy processing to up mix to 5.1, but really only 2.1, so hdmi with arc is only way to go really.

I have my HWK551 connected via optical and sounds great, will try hdmi arc but wanted to avoid that as need the hdmi port.

Where from? Genuinely interested!

Edit: sorry, misread that as 65ks7000, will teach me to speed read. Wasn't the M7000 £899 recently?

I'm talking about Samsung tvs. On some of their tvs (if not all) they don't output higher than proper 2.1 via optical and it's the same from other brands. The TV will up mix to give you that centre channel though.

Ok should have said i have mine connected to a KS8000,samsung told me via support optical was the best connection for sound on this specific model.

All Samsung K series 6000 and up can output 5.1 over optical.

Optical is never really the best option. Hdmi and arc is equal or better. Your TV might be able to do lossy formats like Dolby Digital/DTS surround, but for next gen lossless standards like Dolby TrueHD, DTS HD, or the newest Dolby Atmos, you'll need hdmi.

My amp doesn't do arc and the TV only does 2.1, so for built in apps on the TV there is no way for me to get true passthrough 5.1 sound.

optical support stereo only. send uncompressed stereo from tv and let soundbar process it to 3.1
