And your pointless point is ?

Satellite receiver, blu ray player, x-box and or playstation 4, so not such a 'pointless point'. 4 HDMI sockets seems to be the going rate nowadays.

Two HDMI?! what is this, 2008!?
Bunch of p!ant pots the lot of you, getting worked up about a bloody telly. You can get a multi HDMI plug for 17 quid on the web. Behave. Now back to watching channel 4 prison documentaries.

You're not making a very strong case for not having more than 2 HDMI connectors. Some people will want more than 2, and as I've mentioned 4 seems to be the norm for tv's. 'Won't need a blu ray if you have a console'. That's a matter of choice, I don't have a console, I do have a pc that can output through HDMI to a tv, if I so want a 60 inch screen played on, my Samsung 4k player does a lot more than a console for video. Other people have their own requirements,

That’s why you can purchase Samsung connect on most new models. Specially good for those who display there TVs on the wall

I only need one on my TV. I have a PC, Sky, PS4 and a bluray player.

Everything connects to my surround sound system and then a single HDMI lead sends the signal to the TV.

Perhaps this TV was designed with surround sound users in mind?

Is this tv better then the Hisense Costco deal the other day?

That's the year your comment originates from.

These are bog standard tv's, absolutely fine for anyone who just uses Sky and a Chromecast for example.

Yeah but at what cost? My Samsung came with a One Connect box, which is handy as you say as our TV is on the wall. But I seem to remember it was something like £200 to buy separately.

Also, the One Connect cable with ours is quite short, 2 metres I think, which is not much when you route up the wall. And longer 3m versions were something like £120 to buy!

Xbox can be used as Blu Ray player
Game Console, Blue Ray, HD TV Box (Sky/BT/Virgin), Amazon TV/ Apple TV/ Now TV.... yes I think 2 HDMI ports is pretty poor. And no wireless is not even close to being ready (or used). Just look at my examples and show me how many of these devices offer a wireless video connection?
What's a good wall bracket/mount for this? Thanks

Warranty?
This is basically a cut down version of last years NU7100 range – a retailer specific model that was sold in Currys and AO (possibly more) Its essentially identical to the UE65NU7100, minus connections and a less fancy stand. Even at £589 its way over priced – the UE65NU7100 was under £600 a couple of times here over the past 12 months, once I think from John Lewis.

Compared with the Hisense from Costco this will be far better but in my opinion the £500 Costco H65B7300UK was on the pricey side for what it was. You’ll get better blacks with this Samsung and probably better screen uniformity – from what I’ve seen on pictures posted here and on review sites the cheaper direct lit Hisense models all have milky grey blacks, backlight bleed and clouding. Out of the two this Samsung is the better buy in my opinion but this close to black Friday I would wait for the current UE65RU7100 to come down to around the £600 mark.

I bought the h65b7300uk from costco and see what you mean with the milky blacks, its usually when hdr is displayed on platforms that you can't turn off the auto black setting. It's something they could fix with updates but doubt that will ever happen. As far as £500 for a 65 inch tv with a 5 year warranty being on the pricey side? I think your nuts bro.

Just waiting for 75 inch TVs to drop in price.
Cheap for a samsung & 65”.
Great price and a top brand like Samsung too? Hot.
If this is based on the NU7100 range, albeit a cut down version, does it suffer from the same issue as the UE65RU7100 where colours aren’t great unless you’re head on to it?
