Overview, no fluffy sales time wasting video!

Experience the beautifully realistic vibrancy of the 4K HDR picture with Samsung's NU7100. Stunningly clear 4K Ultra HD resolution combines with HDR powered by HDR10+ to achieve staggering levels of detail, brightness and contrast. Samsung's Auto Motion Plus and UHD Dimming together deliver a picture of brilliantly smooth realism, and you can access a world of online entertainment via Samsung's Smart Hub. With elegant 360 design, this set will revolutionise your home entertainment.

HDR powered by HDR10+
Samsung are one of the forerunners of contrast and colour-boosting High Dynamic Range (HDR). As members of the UHD Alliance, they've delivered top-shelf HDR to deepen your view and show shades previously unseen in home entertainment. Expanding light, dark and every colour in between to extraordinary new levels, this model's picture gets closer to real life. Driven by their UHD engine, Samsung's HDR powered by HDR10+ gives a glorious glow that will knock your socks off.

4K Ultra High Definition
To respond to screens getting bigger, brands have packed their screens with more pixels. This 65” screen has four times the number of pixels than 1080p Full HD TVs, delivering stunning realism, natural motion and incredible detail. And UHD upscaling increases the clarity of non-4K content.

Features:

Auto Motion Plus: Experience smooth action on fast-moving content; great for enhancing action movies or live sports events.

UHD Dimming: adjusts tone, brightness, and sharpness independently for brilliantly accurate contrast, shadow detail, and colour.

Gaming: with this smart feature, play world famous streaming & PC games on your TV with cloud gaming services.*

Samsung Smart Hub
With ultra-high definition streaming, catch-up and games services, Samsung's Smart Hub is a superbly intuitive platform. Access the latest apps to experience the best UHD content from Netflix and Amazon*. You can browse content easily, searching for your favourite programmes and movies while you are still watching TV. Powering the seamless interaction is the powerful Quad Core processor which significantly boosts performance with faster access to Smart features. Enjoy super-fast response times, as you use and toggle between apps, online services and live TV with ease. And Samsung's Universal Guide eases search by tailoring recommendations just for you.

Samsung TVPlus
Experience easy access to the latest movies via your TV guide in addition to all your traditional TV channels. Whether you’re browsing for the latest Hollywood blockbuster or trying to find Ultra HD content, expand your viewing options through a wealth of additional Smart channels with Samsung TV Plus. Watch subscription free content with on-air and catch-up services (charges apply for premium on-demand content).

360 Design with Clean Cable Solution
Minimalistic Charcoal Black 360 Design looks stunning from any angle, with a clean back panel, for an eye-catching look that enhances any viewing setting. In keeping with the elegant aesthetic, connecting cables run down through legs of the stand, removing unsightly clutter from your living room and complementing a supremely refined look.

Same price on Amazon

That is useful to know although as long as they have stock, I would like to give JL the business. Then there is the 5 yr guarantee which helps as well.

This is very basic model from Samsung. Heat added for the price though.

It's a basic model and so what? You can't find a 65" for the same price elsewhere.

Horses for courses.
Cracking deal, now if only OLED were this price I'd buy one for my loft.

How long until 8K TVs will be the standard? I've already seen them …How long until 8K TVs will be the standard? I've already seen them advertised

a long long time. People don’t really understand. 4k was natural, lots has been shot, cinema cameras shot in 4k for a long time before we had sets out there. Film is easy to convert to 4k as well. No hollywood productions shoot in 8k (a lot are 4k) so we haven’t even started making the content yet.. and all these 4k masters can’t be translated to 8k. 4k is likely the highest resolution well be watching the last 20 years+ (and current) content on.
Speaking from experience with Samsung TV’s go for the five year warranty with John Lewis.

This or the Philip ambilight for 100£ more android p5 processor

I went for the Philips 65pus7303 for £789 on Amazon a few weeks back. Ambilight adds another dimension to tv viewing even more so if you have already invested into hue lighting. Blacks are not OLED levels but who cares at that price. P5 processor is great, my PS4 Pro looks fantastic on it. I'm a happy fella for a few years. Then it will be another Philips ambilight, but OLED!

Exactly, I dunno why people say this, best 65 inch under a grand

Lots of better 65” TVs for under a grand, poor spec tv
Purchased, needed a new main bigger tv so this ticked the boxes.. HEAT!
HDR10+ is this full HDR opposed to the almost HDR on teh likes of the hisense?

Exactly, their comment is just silly and adds no value to this deal.

It’s not silly just because it’s bigger doesn’t mean it’s better, if a 100” was available for 2k was basic and I didnt have a great big room it wouldn’t be a good buy

Your not supposed to move your head from side to side to watch tv all the action is supposed to be in you fov

The Samsung is over £100 more but I don't think it's better than the hisense TV. I've got the hisense though so I may be biased LOL
I purchased UE55MU7000 about 4 months ago from JL and paid £669 😬 . Please can someone tell me that I should not regret it??? Can’t sleep seeing this cracking price!!!!

You don't base something on whether or not it fits in your room as a good deal, that is utterly ridiculous.
The John lewis 5 year warranty

Just asking is that automatic on this purchase or do you have to specifically get this added on to your order?
AdamWesleyWhittle9 h, 16 m ago

Sorry that’s what I meant - go with JL because of the 5 year warranty. Someone mentioned it was the same price on Amazon.

Yes. Current TV is in need of its second screen replacement in less than three years and Samsung don’t want to know.

lol really? Its based on if you want a 65 inch and what other are available at what price. So yes, this is a great price for a 65 inch. If you want one smaller then obv this deal isn't for you anyway? What a dumb comment.

Exactly, their comment is just silly and adds no value to this deal.

Some ppl don't know much about tv or havnt got time to trawl through av forums review sections, so yea getting told its quite a basic model does help inform people actually. Im in the market for a 65" to replace one of the best tv of the last generation of plasma(pani gt60)
This tv wouldn't be good enough picture wise for myself and many others.

I clicked through when i saw the deal, saw someone say it was a basic model, checked up on this myself, and yea it is a basic model so that comment helped. It helped more than your whining
50 Hz COLD
I have the 49in version of this TV and it's a great 4K TV, just don't expect HDR as it doesn't go bright enough and doesn't have Wide Colour Gamut. But at this price for a 65in, it is an absolute bargain! Extremely Hot!
Pricklerickle10 h, 32 m ago

what hdr like on this

Not great. The panel is not Wide Colour Gamut and doesn't go bright enough. Having said that, it is a VA panel so it does have very good black levels and contrast for its class and especially at this price point. Most other brands such as LG, Panasonic and Sony are using IPS panels which give great viewing angles but poor blacks and contrast. I have the 49in version of this and I'm very happy with it. Dynasties looks fantastic in 4K on iPlayer.
