What's your opinion of the set? Was about to pull the trigger on a Samsung 7400 but after popping into RS in Brum, I asked them to switch the showroom set to standard definition and it was so bad I held off. I think buying my first 4k to watch a worse picture than my LG 1080p would depress me no end.

Blotchy as hell, unwatchable. Admittedly this was with no tweaks to the settings but definitely a step back from an old £350 sd TV!

I only use it for gaming and watching blu-rays or streaming Netflix. The picture is great, just been watching that new Dracula TV show on BBC iPlayer in Ultra HD which looked stunning.
It turns game mode on soon as it knows your playing games which is a nice feature.
I think SD on any TV this size will be an issue! I haven't watched anything SD for a long time, even my NowTV entertainment pass which is 720p still looks good

It only just fits on my current stand, I'm sure that's 110cm. I'll measure as soon as I get a chance, but you'll need a really decent size stand to keep it on.
Think I'm going to nip to IKEA to buy a really wide one

Thanks for that, I've got a 100 cm table, I was going to set it up on that until my Vesa stand arrives, looks like I'll maybe have to wait.

The one I got was a right struggle to fit the 400 Vesa also had to buy some bolts as the ones that came with it didn't fit!
Just measure the distance there and its 104cm

It looks very very similar! Mine didn't have enough room on the bottom and the VESA was an awkward fit.

Any thoughts on this set v q60? Which would be better.

I've done lots of research and apparently this is as good, if not better in some circumstances. Google rtings and the model number and you can see a side by side comparison.

Hello, don't bother with that stand, it doesn't go high enough, it needs to be at least 6CM taller, and then the TV would be nearly touching the bottom. I'm going to get a cabinet, or maybe a tall stand from Amazon.

I kind of knew it wouldn't fit but didnt want to burst your bubble! I spent about 45mins assembling mine and it didnt fit like I said. Maybe our TV is just to big for them kind of stands?

I'm bidding on a cabinet, if not I'm going to get a cantilever stand. I've calculated all the measurements and the TV will fit one from Amazon, and also one from Argos. The TV needs 31CM below the bottom VESA hole, it's the same for the 49 and 55 inch too, this must be a lot compared to other makes. I also have bought some M8x 45 screws for it from eBay, 10 for £2.

I've had the TV going since I got it Saturday, got it on the floor at the moment, not ideal! I'm pleased with it, great picture, it's a bit bigger than I thought it would be. My old 49 inch looks tiny compared.

I'm the opposite I think its smaller than I thought lol, should have gone for a 75+ as I've been using a 100" projector for around a year now. Dont get me wrong I'm more than happy with it but just kick myself for not going that bit bigger!
Off to IKEA this week as I've been full of busy so going to look around see what I find. Hope you win the one you're bidding on!

You could have got the 82 inch.

I bought this in the end:
