The LG. After reading the bad reviews for the Samsung. But it also has direct lit rather then the edge lit of the Samsung, so should give better light uniformity

Will do! I liked the idea of the ambilight, but I've never had philips and at the time couldn't get it at the same price

Mate, if you are also looking to buy a 75 inch tv please let me know which one you decide to buy as I want to get some first hand reliable feedback.

It's between the LG at £800 and the Samsung 7000 at £850 for me.

Sorry to disappoint buddy, but I decided to go for philips ambilight. Its either going to be the 65in 8204, 75inch 6754 (with firestick or android box) if the price drops below 900, or the new 75pus7835 when it comes out if its less than 900 and reviews are good. So im waiting...

If you aren't bothered about ambilight richer sounds have a 70 inch Philips for £680 mate.

I will be using my roku 4k plus streaming stick so I am not at all bothered about the software app issues I more concerned by a good picture. Do you think the same as me that those Samsung reviews you also read say the picture is fine but the software is the problem?

I think screen quality doesnt vary much between three companies for tvs of similar cost. I had a £1600 sony tv, 75inch. Didnt like the quality so i got a 65in oled. A budget 75inch i assume will be worst than a £1600 75inch lol

I wish that guy who bought the LG would tell us how he found it.

I think that would help me make a decision.
