It's a shame you don't get a free vr or anything included with this otherwise I would have jumped on this

This'll get hot (when the battery sets on fire in your pocket).

Bet you've been counting the days until you could use that one asadman.

assuming the next device is any good and is the same price this is only any good if you think the £689 s8 will be worth less than (£689/2 - £94.14) = £250.36. Otherwise you might as well buy the device on a 0% credit card and sell in a year and do the same. Has to be cold from me
edit - bit harsh there I think it should be (£689/2 - £94.14/2) = £297.43 but then you have another credit agreement and the same situation again. At some point you will pay the full credit charge

You have to hand the phone back after though.

Is personal injury cover included. Cannot trust new Samsung phones. Cold for me.

Pre order the s8 and s8 plus get a free fire blanket cant go wrong

The Galaxy S8 will come bundled with a pair of Harman AKG headphones. The S8 has a headphone jack and is ready to use it

this is hot was going to post the live feed replay link on here.i missed it myself heat anyway

so let me get this straight, you pay them 50% of the cost of the device plus interest, and then upgrade, send that phone back to them and do the same again. Its probably a decent deal considering depreciation and how much you might get on the second hand market.

Looks exactly the same as the Apple program. If I'm not mistaken you only have to give the phone back if you upgrade after one year. If you keep it for 2 years (full term) it's yours to keep.

If you have a really good sim only deal this would be a better option then getting the phone on contract from a network.

You don't even need a really good sim only deal, just look at the amount EE want for it on contract lol...

If you are going to spend this much on an Android phone you will probably want better specs, you'd be best checking this out, double the specs for a lower price , oh and first phone with 8gb RAM ! asus.com/Pho…KL/ The Samsung Ship has sailed (off the edge)

How much is the 'lower' price? Couldn't spot it.

Apple upgrade program doesn't have any interest so this is not that good of a deal. Not voting hot or cold though.

Was part of the S7 upgrade programme and with selling the VR headset for £100, it was a good deal.

This year, however, I am cancelling it the cost has gone up £5 a month, and there aren't any goodies this time, and the cost is very high for what is only a marginal improvement over the S7.

Think the oneplus4 will be my next phone when it comes out!

so I'm up for an upgrade this year but it turns out I have to return the phone, take new financial agreement and pay deposit for new handset as well! What a pile of ****! What's the point of it!!! well annoyed

No phone needs 8gb of ram it's overkill and unnecessary.

Thats what we did last year. 25£+/month for phone and 13£/m sim only with 14gb data. Works out a nice deal.

Apart from the ram why would you think the Asus is "double the spec" ?

yeah, saw that as well...paid deposit last year, don't get why I need to pay another deposit and give the phone back. considering going back to apple next year as at least their upgrade programme is interest free.

also, you get the new VR headset free in the states with the s8, nothing here so far

It's shame the way programme works. You send the old phone back Samsung pays of the finance company and you have to take new financial agreement and pay £68 up front fee. So it's not just straight upgrade

And you'll never get an update. And support is really poor.

Anyone getting an error when attempting to purchase this via the upgrade program?

"Please get in touch with support - Error Code: 0x013"

Also noticed the option to purchase it via the above has gone..

Yeah now it's says their updating their upgrade programme members.

Plus by the time we get new phone we will be already month and a half in the second year of paying galaxy S7... Apple upgrade is so much simpler and no interest

Don't you have to take Applecare for the iPhone upgrade program? That's £99 that you might not make use of, it gives you discounted accidental damage repair assuming you upgrade each year within warranty whereas Samsung have 2 years as standard.

..option is back now

Are we back to 2012 and the analogy that more megapixels are better. I guess I'll just stick to my Nokia 808 with the 41mp camera

What a load of guff. One model had problems and Samsung acted rapidly and decisively, so much so, people complained as they didn't want to give up their excellent phones.

Holy **** 15% interest?? If you have to resort to using such high rate credit then you can't afford it. Get something cheaper. Simple.

Exactly the same as you was doing the upgrade last night then I read the 67 pound deposit for the new hand set they never spoke of this when I signed up last year ....so what happens now ? How much would we need to pay to get out ? And in the end is it worth it? Probably best to carry on whilst getting robbed by Samsung....but hey we should have known this right ?

I think you're missing the point of the "Upgrade Program" the way I see it, it allows you to upgrade your phone when the new one arrives within 12 months, so you hand this one back and take out a new plan for the new phone, no hassle of having to sell your current phone etc.

So paying that "Interest" isn't all that bad when you think about it.

Ok I've done upgrade last night and have been approved by credit supplier but still haven't received confirmation email from neither Samsung or their credit supplier. Yas anyone else experienced that?
