Reviews are from 2005/2006 and say the Camera is pretty good (can't find much other info).

It has Firewire Out IEEE 1394 so you need this type of card/connection to extract the video to your PC (cheap and good way of transfering video though).

Overall a good buy but don't expect anything more than basic but good quality features & recordings.

BTW I have an even older Samsung and keep looking for deals but haven't seen anything that good that gives me more than I have already!

Cheers - needed a cheap miniDV cam to playback some tapes that were lying on my desk.

Also available at cashcoverters for £69.99, I suppose it will be 2nd hand though and it just states Portsmouth.

    Nice find edi!
Ordered as well (turning out to be a expensive month :))

Please be aware that these camcorders dont last. The connection between the screen and the main unit is a known fault and will probably fail just after the 12 month warranty like mine has. I am currently in a battle with the retailer over the Sale of Goods act and their responsibilities. Take a chance at your own peril.

Has anyone received their Camcorder ?????? if so, in what condition did it arrive ?

Mine came this morning. Brand new and seems to be a excellent buy for the money paid.
Two things you must buy are the tapes and a firewire cable.

checked online for an update and mine has gone backwards from being 'picked' to 'not allocated'........ a quick phone-call revealed that they have over sold, i won't be getting my samsung camcorder and that people who went for the free delviery option will probably not get their's either.

    Good luck.......

Surely a consumer must have some comeback if the money has been taken, stock allocated, but because of the delivery selection the people who ordered days later get priority ?!?!?!?! 'Loss of bargain' any legal eagles out there ???? :-(

I opted for the free delivery and it was delivered today (actually, I went to pick it up from the depot). However it will be going back as the unit is obviously second hand (scratched, packing missing, cables missing and the box is well tatty). Also, the serial number on the box has been crossed out and a new one written in its place!

I can't believe the cheek of ebuyer, passing this off as "new". I might as well bought one of ebay....

I have never had a problem with ebuyer over the five years I have been with them and I have made countless transactions in that time...however, the above statement seriously shakes my confidence:o How dare they attempt to trick the customer like that!

That's at least two customers that have received 'second hand' goods, trading standards would probably like to hear all about this sort of cowboy outfit. Maybe i've got off lightly by not receiving mine...........

I've previously had a couple of items off them with no problems but selling previously owned/damaged goods is a big NO-NO in my book and i'll be looking seriously into whether they deserve my custom in the future.

I'm sending off a 'letter before action' today for recompense due to 'loss of bargain', the way that they dealt with my complaint on the phone should make it a piece of cake to see them squirm
