Is it 10MP or 12.2MP?

Title on Amazon says 10, tech info below states 12.2.

Can anyone confirm? (not that it makes a huge difference to the item - HOT!)

Reviews generally positive but HD video focus seems to be locked when you start filming.

Brilliant Camera even at the £200 I paid for it..As close as the Lumix Z7 you can get

Mine's a 10MP...Great camera. Got it for £120 from Simply Electronics, posted on here but was removed as apparently they're Hong Kong based (shipped from UK).

That is NOT TRUE.
I've also got this camera, you can zoom in and out during HD video recording, and the HD video quality is very good.
Only one thing though, you have to be careful with the memory card. I formated one card in my PC, and the camera can't read or format it itself, and so far I haven't found a solution for that. Apparently you can only use card fortmated by the camera itself.

Better? … Better? :thinking:http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/655866/fujifilm-finepix-s1500-digital-came

Can't compare those two cameras. The Samsung has a 24mm wide angle, the Fuji 33mm, which makes a huge difference for interior shots and landscape shots. Over all, the Samsung would be the better camera, IMO. (the Fuji uses AA-type batteries, which are my favourite, tho).

From what I read on the amazon website there is no problem with zooming whilst using video but if you were to focus on an object a couple of yards in front of you then swing the camera up to look at a distant object then it would be out of focus. I don't have this camera myself so i could be wrong.

Quote from review on amazon:

"A few key issues too are the fact the video mode is fixed frame only. Once you start capturing, the focus is fixed for the duration of the recording. There is no autofocus in movie mode. Not an issue for everyone, but if you are switching between very close subjects (30cm) during one take, you will notice what I mean. Capturing video in macro mode will make close objects very sharp, but soften objects further than 30cm away with no ability to refocus either automatically or manually."
