Are these any good?

I have recently had my just over 5 year old Samsung WW10H9600EW break. The spider that holds the drum in place rots away due to them using low quality metal, it is a common problem for Samsung machines, and too costly to fix. So I am personally avoiding them for now. Though I can't say if other companies do the same, guess I will find out in the next few years with my new machine!

Thanks for that. I've yet to have one last 5 years I'm not sure what we do with them. I had a bosch before & an engineer had to come out twice within the 2 year warranty. And it exploded last weekend it was on its final spin & it gave off an almighty bang. I opened the door & smoke was coming out.

Sounds like they just make them to break within a few years nowadays.

I personally went for the LG which was posted on here this week, you should be able to claim a free 5 year warranty for it too

Samsung models also have 5 years, so I suppose there is not much difference, as this has a 10KG load so worth a bit extra.
This is a decent washing machine. The 10kg one's use a much larger drum than the 8 and 9 equivalents. It also has the speed wash option, which throws water out of the top, you can see this in the picture with the open door.

Crucially it has a 5yr warranty. I wouldn't buy any washing machine without one. They are all pretty horrendous to fix outside of warranty and invariably are thrown away.
This has been out of stock for a few days now, do they ever get these ‘Hot Buys’ back in stock
Back in stock
I would opt for the LG 9kg from Hughes direct
You get a 5 year warranty.
Very quite machine.
Samsung spider horror!
