Great to see a 10KG Samsung hit the sub £400 price barrier. Not sure whether this has ever happened before. LG has yet to fall to this pricing level on their 10KG models.

Yep, but at least it is better than loads of others who give you less or using the hotpoint truck of parts warranty. Some machines won’t make it past 2 years without seeing an engineer visit.
My Samsung washing machine has just broken after 18months. Not the quality that you would expect. Thank God for the warranty but they aren't exactly rushing to send an engineer round.

I don't rate my Samsung EcoBubble machine at all,had an LG prefer and that was amazing.
Do they have a price guarantee? I've just bought this before the process drop. (from curry's )

Yes, should be able to get a refund of the difference 7 days post purchase

currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

Even if longer than 7 days would still try and see if they can refund you the difference.

Thanks

Yes you’re experiencing usual Samsung aftersales. They don’t employ or train any engineers. Work is subcontracted to general engineers who are not brand specific. Wait for the follow up telling you they can’t get parts.

Sadly their warranty is nothing more than an insurance policy, they don’t even underwrite that themselves.

But Hotpoint now is not of the same quality, as your Hotpoint of 15 years ago,, plus now more complex. This is probably true for most brands, though.

Agreed!
How about a Miele band washing machine?
Isn't that the best? Any comments, suggestions?
Wish they'd do one that let's you choose how much water it uses. It's nice it can wash your pants with a teaspoon of water if you're worried about your water bill but some things I want thoroughly washed and properly rinsed.
Have an LG now tons quieter than previous Samsung and has out lasted it 2 fold already

By a country mile, albeit not the superb quality they once were, 10 times that of these lumps of garbage.

Money laundering, Tut Tut.
I hate my Samsung. It makes a stupid melody when the cycle in finished, a sock always gets stuck by the door, you can't increase the spin speed to 1400 on a quick wash and the worst of all you can only pour a certain amount of fabric softener in the drawer. Samsung i must say you have some idiots designers working for you!

Had mine for 3+ years and wouldn't be able to find one problem with it. It's luck based, like most stuff these days...some will get faulty or "bad batch" items
Should I buy this or not? I have a functioning 9 year old tricity bendix

Is there an advantage to buying this?
Am I going to save its price in electricity
Is it going to half my wash load times as it’s a large drum. Help fellow HUD

Really ?😳
Standard warranty is 2 years. Certain models can be extended to 5 years warranty. THIS MODEL IS NOT LISTED IN THE OFFER ON THE SUMSUNG SITE (ALTHOUGH MENTIONED ON CURRYS SITE !) If a model is included in the extended warranty offer the warranty must be applied for within 90 days of purchase. Warranty includes parts and labour and call out charges for 5 years plus 10 years for the motor. Currys own 5 year warranty is more comprehensive and covers more problems so might be a better option for other brands or any Samsung models with only a 2 year warranty. If a machine has only a 1 year warranty I would buy the cheapest package available but would add Currys 5 year warranty on expensive units.

The EU energy label on washing machines shows also how much water they use annually. Better, more efficient models generally use water more efficiently too. Most mid-range models and above usually have an 'extra rinse' setting (depending on the brand, the button has different names). On these Samsungs you can choose exactly how many rinse cycles you want.

They still have exceptional build quality, though they are bloody expensive. Also in terms of efficiency, they have been overtaken by the likes of LG and Samsung

How does this compare to companies that give a year warranty.... I always look at this. A company is willing to fork out if their product breaks down in the warranty period.

I used to sell washing machines and actually had a h*tpoint engineer come and buy one of his own products. He said he didn't care about it breaking down because the machines are only designed to last 18 months max before the brushes went. This is shameful!

Lomg story short, i never have brought a h*tpoint

Did they do the phone trick with you? (Sorry I'm not that techy on my terms )

Samsung has an inbuilt dial tone which you can activate whilst on the phone to customer service. This tone transfers into numbers on their end so the machine self diagnoses so when (i do say WHEN) the engineer comes out, he can fix it first time.

I've had my ecobubble for around 18 months and is still going strong! Hopefully your machine isnt a look into the future for me

35243365-WTlKh.jpgThis is the daily wash at 40 degrees, 63 minutes is quite good!

The longest cycles are the super eco mode and cotton at around 2 and a half.

So buy or not to buy ?:)

Wow that sounds impressive. No they didn't offer me that. Just said that if it showed signs of misuse then I would have to pay for the engineers visit. Not sure how you would misuse a domestic washing machine....call it names maybe? Give it a kick? Who knows.

If i was to buy again it would either be samsung/lg or meile. I wouldnt touch hotpoint/indesit (same company), zanusi and hoover can take a running jump and bosch is a name much likr apple. I have had too many of the bosch's returned to be confident buying them.
Just ordered mine last week and thanks to this website got another £100 off what I paid 499 with a bit of re-quoting their price promise guarantee blah de blah thanks to the original poster and of course the hud WhatsApp daily updates😁 so far I’m very impressed with it but time will tell.
