I know but to get the price quoted you need to go through ebay, which is excluded. I suppose if Crompton give you a proper invoice witrh no reference to ebay then it may work as you have to upload a receipt.

In the market for a new washer, How do I find out if this is a good machine or not? Where do people go for reviews or extra info?
Bought the same model but in white (WW80J5555FW) from John Lewis a week or so ago.
nb it's only £339 at JL so the £379 before 15% off that C&M are quoting on ebay seems high (white model), let alone the "was £429".
I got it for £322 via 5% Perkbox discount at work.
And got the 5 year guarantee OK.

Seems OK so far. Don't think it has the digital inverter motor (whatever one of those is) so I assume it's a regular motor with brushes although a google didn't show me any spare brushes to buy so who knows.

And you can mute the tune it plays!

Googling the product code and add the word 'review' is a good start...

Brilliant Ordered. Thank you. Bargain.
I have just spoken to Crampton and Moore head office who have stated that it does NOT come with the 5 year warranty, just the standard 1 year warranty.

Order cancelled.

Item description clearly states included, so if they have to send a invoice suitable for Samsung then I guess that’s what they will be doing

See above^

As per you just spoke to some untrained idiot, 1 year WAS UK legislation, EU made that 2 years, purchases until the end of 2020 remain 2 years under the ‘transition’ period. Applies to Retailer.

But that doesn’t include the manufacturers free (extended) warranty, which you must register with Samsung in this instance.

Thanks. As you can see in the t&c's ebay purchases appear to be excluded. I phoned for clarification and received it - whether that was the correct clarification or not is kinda out of my control but it does tally up with the small print.

I don’t really see what the problem is. Either Samsung will deal with it under warranty or C&P will deal with it for misrep. Doesn’t matter to me.

Yes so did I, saying "ebay" in the postal address - hence me contacting them for clarification.

I'm not saying you're wrong in what you're thinking and that your warranty won't be honoured, merely reporting what I have been told by the company on the phone in order to allow people to make an informed decision. Haha.

Rather have the confidence of the warranty being in place when I make the purchase. I see no problem with your view, can't see why you expect everyone to think the same way though.
Do I get the 5 year with this order or not ? It says eBay on my invoice.

According to my phone call with Compton and Moore head office today, no. Just the standard warranty. eBay purchases are excluded from the 5 year warranty.

According to the t&c's on the Samsung warranty registration site, no. EBay purchases are excluded from the 5 year warranty.

I've emailed to cancel the order on the basis that the 5 year warranty was one of the reasons I bought it. I then received a dispatch email from ebay so messaged through eBay asking for clarification. I'll update either way once I have any news. Like you, I received an invoice from Crompton and Moore with "eBay" inserted into my postal address.

Yeah if the warranty isn't included I'd prefer to pay a bit more for one that definitely has the warranty, wherever I have to buy it from. There's still a chance they'll clarify and confirm the 5 year warranty though - fingers crossed eh!
Phoned eBay it says on listing has extra five year. So have to get it or false advertising.
Got this. If you’re cleaning the front, make sure the cloth is dry! Half the letters rubbed away and it seems pretty common

That never happened to my last one. Best machine I’ve ever had. Anyway buy the Dark one, you don’t have to clean it compared to white
So anyone who bought, did you manage to activate the 5year warranty?

Yes they are a registered supplier, so I had no issues. Lovely machine.

Nice, thanks for clarifying.
Done a bit more research, looks like this machine does suffer some faults with sumsung pushing back on warranty claims.
May just got for a 200 beko, oh decisions decisions.
