Thanks 🏼 ordered. Just what I was looking for
Overall this seems inferior to the previous model.

Entirely made of plastic with no protective cap.
Ye not great would rather spend 30-40 and get a 200+ speed consistently rather than 30 ish write speed... size isnt a big factor for most people... rather have bigger and faster than compact but... lacking..

"- Composite material to disperse heat (it no longer gets hot to the touch like the previous model did) "

They're obviously trying to sell that as a feature.

Very good spot. Bit worrying.
Anyone know what the .1 is in USB 3.1? The stats seem to be same as or worse than the older 3.0 version.

Where can you get flash drive with 200MB/s write speed for £30-40 ??? Comparing item for £23 with another for £30-40 is a bit strange anyway...

Nowhere is the answer to your question, great deal btw, heat added
I have the old version of this in the 16gb flavour and it does get really hot when in use. Have to say, it's had quite a bit of use and still going strong, I lost the cap for it ages ago and not had any problems with it functioning.
It is a bit strange to make the material weaker than metal as for such a small USB you definitely want to make sure its really solid.

Its not strange... common practice.. spending 2x the money for 10x the speeds is a valid comparison. I will post pic of the first usb with 400 read speed and 300 write... 15x faster than this 1 for an extra 15 quid... much better value for money and future proof for years to come.

Erm... quick google there is 400 read and 300 write speed cor 40 quid.. no offer etc... full price.. so if you wait for a deal you can get a super fast 128gb flash drove for 30-40 easy...

You really don't understand write speeds and how they work.

There's not a single benchmark out there that shows that this has write speeds anything close to what you're suggesting.

It seems he was quoting megabits for his stick and then quoting megabytes for this device.

If he's quoting Mbps rather than MB/s it's still dog slow!
Don't think it's a bad deal if you don't mind a bit of slow storage.
Thinking abbot getting this for a Chromebook and leave plugged in. For music and films.

Seems idea.

Just the more recent, updated USB interface. Doesn't mean that the drive is any faster.

Performance actually looks pretty poor. I'd buy something else.

Hi, does anyone know how to get this at £23.74 please?
Seems like expired voucher code. Please can anyone share working code?
Thanks to the contributor. Sensible enough at new price £24.99. Strange the old model I prefer hasn't been reduced, perhaps stocked when at higher prices?
