Was in my local asda looking for the enegizer usb battery charger and spotted this!

I cant find it anywhere online for less than £15 and it was reduced from £17 in asda.

Picked one up myself and it works as advertised!

Here is a photo i took on my dodgy iphone camera in the store!

Yeah i managed to bag one earlier on today, had my eye on this for a while

Voted hot as 12 in 1 seems good deal, but ehm.. what exactly are those 12 functions?

and also, as I am curious: did you actually stick a picture of yourself up (avatar) or is this some famous person?

Ooops it came up twice for some reason so have deleted this one

I've just bought a Transcend M5, and sold my Sandisk as it won't read SDHC cards.
Still a good little reader though.

If anyone lives near Trowbridge, they're even cheaper there! I was in there on Monday night and there were about six of them in the bargain bin for £5.00 each marked down from £8.50...

'may HAVE'

...not 'may of' ....does not make sense

good deal gonna check it out today

It makes a big difference! Hope none of these are old stock. It might be difficult to return if it does not actually state SDHC on the packaging.

If the product number is on the packaging you can check if it has SDHC support. There are 5 revisons and 2 have SDHC support:

sandisk.com/Ret…562

The following product numbers support SDHC:

20-90-03103

It's a famous person, it's definately not a picture of me cut out of a picture my friends took of me on holiday. , it is me, I used it for my railcard application the same day I signed up for this, was sitting avatar sized on my desktop so I thought why not, I'm not ashamed of my looks :-p

does anyone know of a smallish card reader that handles xd, sdhc, smartmedia, cf AND reads sim cards?

maybe i did it on purpose. :whistling:

Can anyone tell me if this would read from Compactflash cards quicker than my current USB to Canon EOS400?? Its PAINFULLY slow sometimes (unless perhaps my old PC only had USB 1???).

My other half has same camera , he has no problem with this card reader with his cards, perhaps your right and your old PC only used usb1

Thanks for that, I think you have answered the problem. I currently plug my camera straight in via USB, the card is 133x so should be quick enough BUT I think the Camera is the bottleneck. As you say that your OH uses a reader with no probs I guess I need to get one of these too! ;-)

rep and heat for the OP just snagged the last one from Asda Widnes

I have to say I had one of these a while ago (probably an older version that didn't read sdhc cards).

Anyway I paid about £16 at the time, but I wouldn't even pay half that price now. The cheap readers of ebay and places like deal extreme are very good, if a little plasticky and I've never had a problem with them. They're also very neat and compact too and many have a rubberised finish which has a nice feel to it.

try this one - I have a couple and they've not failed me yet...

have had several of the cheap ones you mention and if im honest yes they do the job, but you said it yourself, they look plasticky which isnt what i want on my desktop. These are very neat on the little stand.

Funny - I've had two of that exact model and both have died on me!

couldn't find these in Kilmarnock or Glasgow Govan, damn!

Loads at Old Kent Road. They also had a Nikon P50 for £45

Picked one up today, cheers

Always losing or breaking my cheap ones, can't beat a half decent brand at this price with the little stand!

I was looking for a card reader..googled it came here then I went straight to ASDA to get one.

Good price and wonderful gadget.

Its hot!

Thx OP. Picked one up at Leigh ASDA. Was marked up as £17 but scanned at £8.50. Needed one that did SDHC which this one does. Incidentally its marked up on the box as able to do SDHC.
