Indeed, I know the memory isn’t crazy on this but for taking files from A to B it’s a no brainer!
sure i paid 20 quid for one of these 12 months ago, I thought i was getting a bargain
Past experience of SanDisk drives was that they weren't especially fast, and this is exacerbated by increasing capacities.

It's funny, not so very long ago 16gb would have been the doggies doo-dahs, now they're practicality giving them away! (partly, I suspect, because demand for these will be falling away quite steeply!)

Anyone else old enough to remember when an 8" floppy was a big deal?)

Does it work with no internet? How do I plug the cloud into a car USB please? Or into my TV?

Pros and cons to both.
32GB is only £5.94. cheaper per GB if you wanted more

Yes, you have listed alternate options but they aren't necessarily better for everyone.

Not everyone has enough data to stream (or storage to download) on their phone/phone plan. Also may not want to rely on their phone having battery for their music source. <£4 for 16GB is a bargain solution.

I'll answer my question better...
No cloud doesn't work with no internet, it can't be plugged into a car or TV.

And sensible people wouldn't too readily entrust their data to the cloud- especially with Googles track record for invasion of privacy!
