Soz I've accidentally expired this..

Great price!

Amazing price

mmmm another sandisk deal in tescos, i dont know how many of these ive seen on here in a the last few months and ive NEVER seen one instore yet. can anyone confirm if this is store specific or nationwide?

These write at 4Mb/s which is even slower than the already really poor Cruzer Blade but at least they read at about 18Mb/s

I'm sick of seeing "great deal instore" and never EVER seeing the bloody things in store where i live, in ANY of the stores.
Isn't it time we had a "local instore ONLY" section ?

You can't boot from them!

Yes you can if you remove the U3 partition (if it's there)

Tried Tesco Oldham, nothing, I too tire of these in-store only deals. If people post them they could do with, if they have the time, asking at customer services if its store specific.

I've had 3 that wont no matter what I try

I wouldn't quite go that far. £15-18 seems about the norm these days for a 16gb Sandisk. Ok, cheap, and £3 cheaper than Amazon, but not astounding. Unless there's something very special about these that I'm not aware of.

Now a tenner, that would be something to write home about :D.

Do these have access lights on them, BTW?

The white bit lights up and flashes orange if thats what you mean?

None in Tesco Extra near me

great find

I am fed up too, in past I have seen these offers only on this site, Never found any in my local stores and these are only store specific. I don't see any point in adding heat, only to disappoint people.

s it hard to remove the u3 partition. I havea few of these for use in the car and they work fine but dont play on my mates dvd player?

Search for "HP USB stick format tool", can wipe any USB stick squeky clean of partitions, software, security files ect.

I'd rather hear about a deal that may not be local than not hear about it at all. Its not like I rush out of my house everytime someone posts a deal to check if its there or not, I just remember to look next time I'm in or near the store. It aint exactly a chore.

That's the feature I'm talking about, yes.

This is is a slightly different design to the "standard" cruzer that has a white bit in he middle, though, so I'm not sure it has a light.

My thoughts exactly. I've pretty much given up on Tesco deals, unless they are listed on their website.

they boot ok for me using backtrack on one

now this is cheap for a 16gb!

None in the Loughborough town centre Tescos at that price

I think that Intrepid is right; I've heard that the HP tool does it..
Good price, good stick, I'd take it to replace one I lost if I could find one but Hatfield Tescos seem to only stock rubbish really bad value usb sticks
