Awful price, you can get a faster NVMe drive and 10GB/s enclosure for less.
The drive inside this is a modified WD SN550, which is low endurance QLC NAND.

TLC NAND drive with DRAM cache for £40
    amazon.co.uk/Kio…-14

Decent Ugreen enclosure for £19 -
    amazon.co.uk/UGR…8-4

Then you also have the option of using the drive as an internal in the future if you felt like it.

If you can't be bothered with a seperate drive and enclosure, there are faster 1TB externals for less than this.

    Also -
    USB 3.2 Gen 2 up to 520 MB/s

Why even bother giving it 3.2 Gen 2 capability when it's a SATA drive? lol.

    EDIT:
And this deal still gets over 200 degrees, lol. (edited)

Good post. I think the case and brand go a long way for convenience. I have the ASUS aluminium enclosure and it feels like a tank.
The only consideration for folks is these enclosures are heavy on device battery drain. My iPad Air drops a fair bit but I only have it connected for huge transfers at weddings. I need the speed. I can drop 20-30gb in less than 10 mins with a decent ugreen hub on iPad from df cards.

Better off paying a little extra and getting the samsung 2TB T7 shield
135 on amazon with 50 cash back.

Between 1st june to 4th July to make the purchase and claim is within 1 month.

(Just make sure it's sold and dispatched by Amazon) (edited)

Thanks for the heads up. I have two 1TB sandisk extreme models with a lot of important data. Time to backup immediately to my newly arrived T7 shield..
