Haha that's great but I think I'd rather trust Argos as I read a thread on here about people buying memory cards and then returning it but sending a fake one back in its place. Seems far fetched but I guess it can happen.

good card bought when it was £10 less

Great deal was that with Amazon?

Great alternative for pron backup compared to hard drive (not reliable). However Blu-ray disc FTW! LOL

I once got a Blu-ray disc stuck to my hand. The nurse was not impressed.

SANDisk have just produced the first 1tb SD card. No price was mentioned in article, but I'm guessing it will be loadsa money.

Yes the link to the one on Amazon has been posted twice now in the comments & I mentioned that I would rather buy from Argos but each to their own and all that

Probably around £1,000 then after 4+ years it will be around £50 mark but by then we will have 3TB+?

The 128gb is currently £34.99, or was yesterday when I purchased one. More than enough for me.

Happy to report so far no issues on my Samsung S5, unlike the Samsung 128gb card which would not work....odd.

Could have been worse.....

getting there, getting their heat

OMG I sell storage for a living and have since 5Mb Rodime drives in the 80's, I only mention that because anyone who stores that amount of data on a card like this is well, to be nice.......a fool. A 200 Gb card is only suitable for transient data. Or a very good backup service.

Any important data should always be backed up regardless of the media used and this is no different.

Do most devices support cards this big? For instance I have a Windows 10 tablet which has a 64gb card in it.

200gb seems like an odd number

Anyone tried a 200gb microsd in a Galaxy Tab S?

It's actually an even number.

Generally devices that support SDXC will support 200GB although it's worth looking to see if anyone has used this size card in the device, manufacturers will officially only support the largest micro SD card available at the time even though they may work without issue with newer cards - my phone officially only supports 64GB cards but is working fine with this 200GB micro sd card.

Yes I posted that card too but it seems to have gone cold

200gb does seem like a strange size. I would have expected it to be 256gb? Anyone know why this does not follow the normal memory sizes of 8,16,32,64,128,256 etc

256GB just didn't fit on the card, and they wanted to make the micro SD card the standard physical dimensions (else it becomes an issue with compatibility with devices)...

Why spend £60 on this when 1/3 capacity can be hard for just over a tenner!?! What program requires more than 64gb to need a single card with higher capacity?

Don't understand why this should be hot when it's not vfm even if it's the cheapest available...

Well at least you never got your **** through it, I doubt any woman would be impressed with that.

Err music and media storage on your tablet or phone?
You want to switch multiple cards to access a large library?
Of course there's a price premium for larger capacities.
It's quite cheap really. If you want the greater capacity go for it. If you don't need it then obviously don't.
But there's plenty of use for large capacity cards.

As usual from the doom mongers absolute drivel.

As long as it's backed up properly you can keep anything on a card like this. With Google photos, Onedrive, gdriveypur own computer etc there's no reason you can't stick this in your phone.

1 use as storage location for photos & videos
2 Store movies & music

1 backup as you go with a cloud service
2 wouldn't be your only copies anyway so wouldn't matter.

They have lifetime warranty, Samsung only gives 5years. So I'd rather have these for less money.

I have an S2 and it's fine. First Argos review also says it works in a Tab S.
