Heading in the right direction price wise.

is there a guide to which UK based SSDs are good price points for a given model / size.
I have seen a basic guide in the US on TomsHardware, but that does help with our pricing here.

As it is often the case that a larger SSD is faster than the same model's smaller one. It can make this complicated!

500gb one for £150 then im sold.

Seems like a good price, how does it compare to the samsung 830?

they both got togle nand. Still prefer samsung by far for £10 more after rebate

This is a good drive but I am waiting for the Samsung 830 to hit this price point (£20 rebate considered).
I'm hoping that [email protected] might do it before the end of the week on a Today Only and the rebate offer expires. If not, then I just have to wait 1 more week and the way prices keep changing I will get a drive for the money - I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Samsung prices dropped quite dramatically once the rebate finishes on 30/9.

Like where this is going, when it reaches £79 and under (and I have money) I'll get one. May help my aging MacBook pro out.

yes I have heard good things about the Samsung 830s - what else in at a similar price / quality to them?

yawn

Seems an excellent price for the speed and storage. Heard good things about these in previous threads. Very tempted. Hot Price

I have the 120gb version of this, and i would by far choose this over the samsung 830. Never had any issues with sandisk memory, can't say the same about samsung though. This is a nice and quick drive too.

Can't wait for 500GB to get sub £100 though so i can ditch mechanical drives altogether.

Waiting for next Christmas, sure there will be one in my cracker !!

As soon as a 240GB drops below £100 ..........................

OOS

in stock however robbing barstewards have put it up to £170

£177, surely a mis-price. It's £119.99 on scan.
