Looks a good price.
Rather have an integral U3 one for less. Dont get why people vote "U1" cards so highly. This is the sandisks "rubbish" models
The storage capacity on this is 100 times larger than what I had on my hulking desktop that you could barely lift back in 2000 & this is the size of a fingernail & change out of thirty quid.

Modern technology eh, what a time to be alive!
Wonder if I need a faster one for GoPro 8 4K...

It's a certification of minimum continuous writing speed. U1 = 10mb/s u3= 30mb/s
Some cameras will categorically not record 4k on a card without a u3/v30 rating regardless of what speed you can actually write on them in your tests

I see what you mean, thanks. I had not paid attention to write speeds. This one doesn't even mention it:

Might want to check that it can actually read from 256GB card as a lot of devices wont recognise it
Is this good for using as Music storage or will I notice better performance on a U3 card with apps like Google Play Music?

if it's just music, save the money and get a U1 you won't notice any improvement with a U3

so the U1 cards can read at 100MB/sec like this one can. Loading = reading. So yeah you won't see any difference unless you are writing to the card. Most MP3s / other music files will be so small that it will load the file very quickly. Same for album art. Of course if you aren't too bothered get the U3 cards but they cost more.

Thanks for the explanation, it's actually faster than my 80mb/s read speed SanDisk Ultra Micro SDXC Memory Card 80MB/s Class 10 128GB so I might upgrade as it's the size I wanted at 100mb/s
Would this work for a nintendo switch?
Providing you're happy to wait for delivery from China and don't mind a less well known brand you can get a 512gb card for £28.98 from here: aliexpress.com/ite…CVn HUK deals wouldn't let me post this deal as the seller needs to have 300 reviews or something along those lines for them to publish the deal.
