The new ultra-small memory card is designed to meet the growing storage needs of highly compact, multifunctional mobile phones.
An 'M2' adaptor in the size of a standard Memory Stick will allow users to exchange data to Memory Stick PRO compatible products.
The M2 media is approximately one-quarter the volume of Memory Stick PRO Duo media, yet only about 1.2mm thick.
M2 media is designed as an externally removable media with a controlled eject function to prevent users losing the media. Following the trend of mobile phones which operate at 1.8 volts, the M2 has been designed as dual-voltage media. In addition to 1.8 volt support, the media offers 3.3 volt operation which is required for existing Memory Stick PRO compatible products.

Can be used in newer Sony Ericsson phones for music or photos.

Too much hard work to get some Sandisk memory from expansys. So instead I went to Mymemory.com and bought :-
SanDisk 2GB Memory Stick Micro - M2 -10% discount applied - £16.19
SanDisk 4GB Memory Stick Micro - M2 -10% discount applied £30.59 (cheaper than play.com at £35 incl delivery)

using lovesandisk to get 10% discount on Sandisk products (not all though) I discovered and I have written to mymemory.com to ask why that there was no discount for Sandisk Extreme III SD and Sandisk 2GB microSD memory kit. There is postage of £3.95 so I have paid about 73p more than if I bought £16 2GB M2 from expansys and £35 4GB M2 from play.com . However the extra 73p (postage) was worth while as I bought at the same time a Toshiba 4GB SDHC Card for £15.99 (take off 10% = £14.39) or £3.60 per GB, a real bargain) which is a class 4 speed, fantastic value (compared to Kingston 4GB SDHC at about the same price but at slower class 2 speed) and also a microSD to pro duo adapter for £4.95 (great as I can now use my microSD as a memory stick pro duo). This is useful when you have a phone which uses microSD and a Sony camera which uses pro duo.

How did you get £16 delivered? Using the cheapest delivery method, I can get the total price, with delivery, incl tax, to about £18 (+/- 10p) - i dont want to choose a local pickup, as the base seems to be in manchester whilst i'm stuck here in London..
