... well through their price promise anyway.

PcWorld charges £18.89 for the 2GB Micro SD, though you can pick it up instore for only £5.80, and here's how.

1. Take a print out of the PcWorld price promise, where they state they will price match products from 'Play' and then give 10% off the difference.
pcworld.co.uk/mar…ise

2. Take a print out of the product available from Play @ £6.99.
play.com/Mob…tml

3. Go to your local Pc World, take the product to the till armed with your print-outs and request the price-match.

4. That's it, and the calculation is as follows -

Pc World price = £18.89
Play price = £6.99
Difference = £11.90 of which 10% = £1.19

Thus the matched price of £6.99 less 10% of the difference £1.19 = £5.80

Not bad!

Now only if STUPID 3 accessories would do that then I could use my £20 accessory voucher!

This seems kinda pointless to be honest. The £1.20 I'd save from this would end up costing about £1.80 in petrol. Good if you live next door to pc world I suppose.

And you also have to add in the time taken and the frustration of dealing with a PCW salesperson.

and the effort of printing it out...

Voted cold, as the post for play.com seems much better with 2X2GB = £9.99

Is it really worth the effort, I mean to get the extra 10% you have to go to PC world, pay full price for the item, then go back in say you found it cheaper elsewhere and then they give you the price match and 10% discount. It's not as simple as just getting a price match and the 10% off instantly..

Which is a completely different product... this is for a 2GB MicroSD card, the other thread is for 2 x 2GB SD cards.

Incorrect, you print off the page from play.com and take it to PC world.

It is good for people who don't want to wait a few days for delivery from play.com.

Dealing with PC world's staff is another matter.
