Can recommend this one I'm afraid - the "slide out" mechanism just isn't usable as it doesn't "lock" with the USB plug out, meaning you have to hold the slide switch in the "out" position as you try to insert.

Nice idea, poorly implemented.

I just needed a USB to update the Nav on my Renault and came across this. 150mb/s, 32gb and 5 years warranty for £8.99... who care if it doesn't lock?

I have a 64gb and a 16gb one. Both of mine lock. These are brilliant and easy to transfer files . Highly recommend these
I have the 32gb version. No issues with locking.

That 5 years warranty should help me to revive my £8.99 if ever this happened.
It appears that quality issue's with this Product is like a 50/50 here?.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.

I actually like these sort of things, but who knows?, lol.

Appreciate your source about the "50/50 quality issue"?
Don't trust data with SanDisk, their stuff is junk
Thanks got the 64gb for just over £16
These are useful but sooooooo slow. I bought a standard ultra and the dual. Save your money and buy the standard one and an otg lead from ebay. Miles better. The dual just sits in a drawer now. Actual speeds are more like usb 2 even when connected to laptop.
I got OTG lead from eBay as well and doesn' work so well and mine needs me to use a program with it

These overheat and mine the 16Gb corrupted file names like it would rename pictures .jp0
.JP1 ETC for a JPG file and this would be whole folders full

The overheating was so bad i was concerned about my data being affected.
I don' recommend this or sandisk or western digital which sandisk is a brand of

So many devices both western digital and sandisk failed on me at different times with external devices being worst.
These are handy though for phone backups from android devices. I gave my 16GB away which was 10 pounds maybe over a year ago. Wish these came down in price more

If you buy anything sandisk or external western digital back it up very well

They are not. The write speed is abysmal - more than 1.5 hours to write 32G which wastes your time and device battery. I got a 32G stick a while ago from Amazon for £7.99 thinking it would be good for backing up - I was wrong.
i dont backup 32Gb at a time and speed is 150 MB/SEC

maybe it's your phone that is so slow.. they'e

Had the 16GB version of this for a few years and have found it fantastic for doing complete backups of Android phones as well as installing custom firmware etc. Read speeds are as advertised while write speeds are not amazing (see attached benchmark) but suit my purpose just fine. The 4k write speeds are actually quite good, around 2x faster than some other "regular" USB 3.0 flash drives I have.

I've had the 64gb version for a couple of years and it still locks. Great stick and handy for transferring stuff from one smartphone to another etc.
Oh no, I don't need one but I want one, I've had the 32GB for a couple of years and works as new, only issue is it can be hard to push into hard to get to USB connections (like the back of TV). Now I've gone for the 64GB version on £16.19 and therefore be great for a mobile full backup. Great find.

Got my order today. It locks perfectly fine. The button needs to be pushed in and then you slid it to different directions to use the sides. You may have not done this and have broken the lock mechanism and that could explain the issue here.

Sums up my thoughts on these drives too. Check reviews for actual transfer benchmarks for you want a USB stick you will actually use regularly.
