any links for the cheaper 4 gb card. thanks

there is no such thing as a sandisk ultra 2 class 2 sd card, ultra 2 cards are atleast class 6, hence the 'ultra' tag.

You dont need the code to get for 4.79 as it is that price when added to basket

picstop.co.uk/blo…tml Seems like they were rated class 4 and are now class 2 but Sandisk are avoiding writing the class on the cards and are quoting their own figures......a read speed of 10MBps and a write speed of 9MBps.reghardware.co.uk/200…ds/

Are you sure about that? I thought the Extreme cards were the only class 6 Sandisk cards. Correct me if i'm wrong though.

kewl ive now got me wee sister a bargain wedding pressie hmm what else can i buy

Just what i needed cheers! Hot

Good deal Hot!

Good deal, got the 4x these offer from boffers for £16 a while ago and they were technically "refurbs" so this is a good deal, heat added.

Does graded, mean second hand or refurbished?

Thanks

Can you be sure they are genuine?

So why are they classing an Ultra at 2mb speeds?

I am a little confused, can anyone in the know shed some light on this?

Seconded. But class 2 seems a little limiting and as said before, Ultra cards are never class 2....

The UK sandisk site shows the cards as being class 2 .... printed on the card itself.

If you look at the ]SanDisk website the image they show is an Ultra II and clearly marked as "15 MB/s" and showing the Class 2 symbol...

Presumably the SD Class testing doesn't measure what SanDisk consider to be important in terms of performance; I guess SanDisk are right as Ultra II's don't have a reputation for being slow.

Personally I won't touch 'graded' goods.

As a guess these might be cards which failed to meet the read/write spec for Ulrta II, hence why they are being sold off as class 2, rather than the usual class 6.

This is only a guess- I've no idea why sandisk would sell off below par performing cards under their own name and with the UltraII label if they don't meet the performance criteria for that card...

Mine arrived today, it has class 2 and 15mb/s printed on it, which is weird but is standard for these cards, obviously the class rating and Sandisks rating differ hugely.

I tested the card in my laptop, I just dragged a 100mb file onto it and timed the transfer time, it took about 10 seconds. I have a Sandisk Extreme iii 30mb/s edition too so I timed that with the same file and it was about 10 seconds as well, maybe a second quicker than the new card...it was a rough and ready test. I did the same thing with a Kingston class 6 card and it took over 100 seconds.

So, this card is near as dammit as fast as my £17 Sandisk extreme and I don't know WTF is going on with the Kingston.

The Ultra card has an "R" stamped on the back...."reject"?

Edit
I just tested using a 1gb file, the Ultra took about 85 seconds and teh Extreme took 70 seconds.

Bit of a problem, sometimes it is not recognised by my camera or the laptop. Taking it out and putting it in again seems to fix this but it does not induce a feeling of confidence!

Seems fine now.

Is this better than the SanDisk 8GB SDHC Secure Digital Card for £9.61 inc. delivery?

Would imagine so, I use a kingston card in mine and that works fine. This San disk card has much better write speed so would guess it would be fine.

Also the class 2 mark is misleading - its only a guide to a minimum write speed, this card clearly is well above that.

Thanks Ordered! H+R added

still same price with voucher
