Not alot to say about this is there SD cards are cards not fully appreciated by all for their cheap capacity and tiny size.

Sure you MAY get cheaper on fleabay, but at least here you are getting an official card, free delivery etc etc

RRP: £49.99

Nice deal, though one could consider 40p to be splitting hairs :).

cheers

TRUE bargain hunters would beg to differ:thumbsup:

I remember doing backups on 20 MB exchangeable hard drives - as big as 20 inches across with a big plastic hard-top cover. It is incredible that you can get 8 gigs on a postage stamp!

that rrp must be two years old

class 2? , need 4 or 6

class 2 works well in most devices

Why take the chance ? surely better to pay a bit more for class 6 ?

need it for PDA, my play (toshiba) class 4 far more responsive than class 2 sandisk

play.com/Ele…tml

16gb class 4 - better value for money IMO...

What chance? The class represents the transfer speed, not the chance of it exploding. Mind you, I suppose it would be less confusing if they called it "speed" rather than "class". ;-)

It's the minimum write speed, in MB/s (megabytes per second). Hence this card is 2MB/s, whereas class 6 would give you 6MB/s.

There's no other difference, so you only need worry about it if you have a fast camera with a high megapixel count, and want to take lots of photos or high-res video.

Hi all...
Just look on eBay:
you can get the same thing for extra 60p.
So eBay is better if you do not have an account with Play (does Play.com ship for free??)

and if you are looking for size of card / capacity ratio - micro SD is the answer... you can get 8GB for £8.99 on eBay. (free P&P) so even better than this topics deal...

good luck

Ordered that last week to put in my Dell when it arrives. Looks decent and it's very cheap.

You mean it's worth 60p not to have to register with Play? :-D

Yes, Play delivers free. No need to worry about making an order up to a minimum amount, they just send everything in a separate bag anyway!

I just got the class 6 version of this for £10.99 delivered on play?! for the extra £1.50 why not go with that instead?!

Play is better when you want to be sure of buying a genuine memory card.

Cold, because you can buy a Play-branded Class 4 8GB MicroSD card for the same price. Same money, basically, but faster, and with the ability to put the card in your phone as well as your camera, should you ever be caught short on capacity or want to bluetooth someone a shot or whatever.
