Great price, I was shocked to find photo printing shops don't have readers that support these cards!

Whats the benefit of this in a nutshell.

If you have an older reader that is meant to support all formats will it still take this just not at high speed or do you need to purchase a new reader

I agree with spectator,

Amazon has a class 6 8gb transcend SDHC for £15.52, or £15.18 through a marketplace seller. Including post and package.

Class 6 vs Class 2 for an extra £1.50 - no contest! Amazon wins.

Many thanks all, Its a Samsung NV10 so its not compatible, the next model up is tho, typical!

whats really the difference between the classes if your taking photos though

For taking individual photos, probably not a lot. However, if you're taking a sequence of photographs (continuous or burst mode) it matters quite a lot. The camera only has a certain size of buffer memory which it has to clear out by writing the data to the card. A slower card will mean that the buffer fills up more quickly and the rate of taking shots will then go down substantially.

It also matters if you're reading the card in a card reader, or using it as a drive (for example, I run Windows from an SDHC card in my Eee).

I would be very careful about buying from Amazon marketplace - there are alot of fakes around.

If you're using a still cameras for individual shots, not alot. If you want it for video, go for a Class 4 minimum.

That's why I bought mine off Amazon, not Amazon Market place. They were selling it for £14.69 inc free delivery via Prime on Saturday and shipping by the 19th at the earliest.

Free shipping on this Transcend 8gb SDHC class 6 card from Amazon
