Wow! The prices on SD cards are just falling like crazy, every day they seem to be getting cheaper. What is going on?

Bought one 5 days ago from play at £10.99

was just going to order for £10.99

Bought a class 10 card (10mb/sec) from amazon for £12 last week. Voted cold as this is only class 2 and is pants for HD vids btw.

Class 2. No good for me.

Okay but it's always been around £10 for a sandisk 8gb and 20-25 for 16gb

I use this in my Sanyo HD Camcorder and it's been fantasic - not dropped any frames! I haven't used that h2testw program but I remember this old Fuji card 2Gb card that i tried that was about 9.8mb/sec whereas a newer class 4 Samsung MicroSD card was just 4.85 mb/sec.

Will post some test results on it if anyone wants me to?

Class 10 came out, making all other classes look pants

Sorry guys, but have been watching the price of 16gb SDHC cards for the last year and the class4 cards have been stable at around £17 - £18 for the last year. Under £15 for a class4 16gb card would be a significant fall

One would only really need 8GB for video and this is class2. Most video cameras and HD video stills cameras require class6 of faster.

Just bought the amazon one - was going to buy it a few days ago at £13.45(?) or something, logged on today andit had dropped even further. £2.71 well worth it for the extra read/write speed. There is a noticeable difference on my TZ7 just taking stills...

sandisk cards bad for failing
look up the reviews on google

i have had a few fail on me now, lost all my pictures

just my pennies worth

Great Deal, thanks for posting

Just ordered the Transcend 8gb Class 10 (for use with Sony Cybershot w350). Hope you guys are right who recommended it

Class issues
If your camera can take 8GB then you should be doing it more justice than going for a class 2 SD card. Cold I'm afraid...

You wont be dissapointed. Although it says 10-20mb/sec mine does 10mb constant. Still great speed:price ratio
